Stampin' Stylin' INKspiration November Blog Hop: Thanksgiving Gratitude

Good morning!  We’re full in the midst of fall and all things that go with getting ready for all the upcoming holidays, starting off with Thanksgiving.  Since it’s the second Thursday of the month it’s time for the Stampin’ Stylin’ INKspiration blog hop and this month is all about gratitude.  I love this theme, and am so thankful so many things in my life, and it’s right in line with the Gratitude challenge I’m currently participating in.

As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop number #2 on the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Blog Hop - (Cynthia at Ink-A-Doodle Creations). If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

I have two projects for you today, but they coordinate and use a lot of the same products, I’ll start with the card.  The cardbase is Soft Suede and I added a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock that was stamped with the Hardwood stamp (using Crumb Cake ink) and then I sponged around the edge with Soft Suede ink for a great distressed look.  The greeting down at the bottom is from the Truly Grateful stamp set and is stamped in Soft Suede ink.

Next I took a paper doily and cut it in half and attached it along one side.   I used the Four Feathers stamp set and coordinating framelits to make the feathers.  The large one is Pool Party, the small stamped feather is Soft Suede and then I added another small feather using Gold Glimmer Paper (you know me, have to have my sparkle!)  I used some Gold Baker’s Twine to tie a double bow and then unraveled the gold strip from the baker’s twine for the bow tails to spread the sparkle.  I used a glue dot to attach the bow to the card.

Of course I had to make a coordinating gift for this card and used the Polka Dot Tag a Bag’s for a simple packaging that will certainly impress.  I used all the same items from the card and used the Project Life Card Framelit to cut out the greeting and attached the decorative piece to the bag using a Mini Gold Metallic Clothes Pin that’s so fun!

I absolutely love how these turned out (it’s so fun when something turns out better than you envisioned in your head) and may be making more of these.  There are several more designers on the blog hop to give you even more inspiration so I encourage you to continue on along the hop.  Click the next button below to see what Bree’s created, I always love her work.  Remember, if you get lost you can access all the blogs included in the hop from the list below.
