Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge #PCC528: Trucking Along

Good morning,

It's July and we can't end the month with celebrating a little Christmas in July.  For this weeks Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge I decided to use some of the Online Exclusive products to make this fun Christmas card, while taking a little liberty with the sketch due to the stamps used and their shape, haha!

I started with Crumb Cake cardstock for the cardbase and then embossed a piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock with the Big Shot and Painted Texture 3D Embossing folder.

Next I used the One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper and cut strips for a wintery background.

The stamp set used was included in the Trucking Along bundle (the stamp set is still available while the coordinating punch is currently out of stock but will be available in October), I just love this little "red" truck.  I stamped the truck on Basic White cardstock and stamped the body of the truck in Real Red ink.  I used Stampin' Blends to color in the tires and bumper before punching out the truck with the coordinating punch.  The greeting is from the same stamp set, stamped in Real Red ink on Crumb Cake cardstock before being fussy cut out and attached with dimensionals.

To finish off the card I tied a double bow using the 2022-2024 In Color Baker's Twine (it isn't exactly the same color but it coordinates with the blue tones in the DSP.

I had so much fun making this card and I see lots of these little trucks in my future crafting!  Please check out the other cards the design team is sharing and we would love for you to play along with us and share what you create using this sketch as inspiration.

Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge #PCC526: Cheerful Daisy

Good morning!

It's been a busy week traveling for work but I'm thankful to finally be heading home today.  While I'm on the road I wanted to share the card I created using this weeks Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge.

With all the bright, beautiful flowers this time of year I decided to break out the Cheerful Daisies bundle to send birthday greetings.  I started with Crumb Cake cardstock for the cardbased and then added a piece of Garden Green cardstock that was embossed with the Exposed Brick Embossing Folder and then matted it with Early Espresso cardstock.

I added a piece of the Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper (I used a retired corner rounder punch for the top corners).  The greeting is stamped in Early Espresso ink on a piece of Lemon Lolly cardstock that was attached to the cardfront with dimensionals.

For an accent I cut a couple of pieces of daisy dies out of Basic White cardstock and stamped the center of the flower in Early Espresso ink (I did fussy cut the center as it was easiest) and attached both the daisy and center with more dimensionals.

For accents I added a piece of Pebbled Path 3/8" Textured Ribbon and looped it behind the daisy and finished the card off with some Adhesive Backed Solid Gems in the top right corner.

This card is so fun and sure to bring a smile to someone's face when receiving it.  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing and we would love for you to play along and share your creation.

Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge #PCC525: Next Destination

Good morning!

It's been awhile but I'm back and playing with new products as well as the Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge.  Since we recently got back from our epic vacation I knew I had to use the Next Destination stamp set.

I started with Crumb Cake cardstock for the base and added a piece of Let's Go Fishing DSP that's matted with Misty Moonlight cardstock.  Around this piece I added a piece of Misty Moonlight 3/8" Inner Braided Ribbon.

For the stamped images I stamped the plane ticket and sunglass image on Very Vanilla cardstock and cut it out with the Layering Circles dies.  I used Stampin' Blends to add some color to the image and used the same dies to cut a scalloped circle out of Pebbled Path cardstock before attaching it with dimensionals.

The greeting is from the same stamp set and was stamped in Misty Moonlight ink on Crumb cake before being fussy cut and attached with more dimensionals.  The final touch was to add a few Rustic Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots.

This stamp set is not only good for cards but I see a lot of uses for it in my upcoming memory keeping projects from my trip, can't wait.  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing and we would love for you to play along.
