Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge #PCC395: Gather Together

Good morning!

It seems like it's finally starting to feel like fall, I'm really loving this cooler mornings.  For today's Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge I decided to use these fall feelings as inspiration for today's card using the Gather Together stamp set, which I love!

I used Crumb Cake cardstock for the case base and then added Early Espresso cardstock as a mat for the Guilded Autumn Speciality Designer Series Paper card front (I love all the metallic accents on this paper!)

The greeting stamped on Very Vanilla cardstock using Early Espresso ink and then was matted with an offset square of Cajun Craze cardstock.  Behind this piece I added a leaf that was cut out of Mossy Meadow cardstock using the Gathered Leaves Dies (and then I light sponged the embossed leaf to help the detail pop).  A strip of Early Espresso cardstock also helps anchor the pieces on the cardfront.

I stamped the small pumpkin image from the Gather Together stamp set using Momento Black ink on Very Vanilla cardstock and then colored it in with Stampin' Blends before cutting it out with the coordinating dies and using Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the pumpkins to the cardfront.  The final touch was to add a bow tied with the metallic ribbon from the Basket Weave and Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack.

I love how these colors work with the Copper Metallic accents, it screams fall, and pumpkin spice haha!  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing using card sketch for inspiration and we would love for you to play along and share what you create.

Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge #349: Tags Tags Tags

Good morning!

I've just been itching to start decorating for Halloween but the kiddo says I have to wait until October (ugh!) so I'm embracing my excitement for Halloween  in this weeks card for the Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration challenge.  I decided to mix a little new with a little old products to create this card.

For this card I used Basic Gray cardstock for the cardbase and then added Cajun Craze cardstock as the mat for the cardfront that uses Magic in this Night Designer Series Paper.  I added another pattern of the DSP as a belly band around the center and matted it with Pretty Peacock cardstock.

For the greeting I used the Tags, Tags, Tags stamp and stamped the greeting in Basic Black on Basic Gray cardstock and then cut it out with the Trio of Tags Dies.  To attach the greeting I tied it on with a piece of the Metallic Mesh Ribbon.

To finish off the card I added several little bats that I cut out of Blackberry Bliss and Pretty Peacock cardstock and the Halloween Magic Dies as well as adding several Iridescent Pearls for the little bling.

I absolutely love how this card turned out, this DSP has some great color combinations that I wouldn't normally consider for Halloween but the end result is really classy.  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing for inspiration and we would love to see what you create using this inspiration.

Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge #344: So Sentimental

Good morning!

We are definitely in the hot part of summer, wowsers!  I know I always say it, it's really the humidity that gets you, and I'm do everything I can to keep my flowers alive (love all my potted plants to cheer me up!)  I was thinking of my flowers when I made my card for this weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch challenge, you know you can't kill paper flowers.

I used Bumblebee cardstock for the cardbase and then added Early Espresso card stock as the mat for the two prints of Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper.  I wrapped a piece of Terracotta Tile 1/2" Scalloped Linen Ribbon around the cardfront where the paper meets.

For the main stamped image, I used the So Sentimental stamp set to stamp the thanks greeting in Terracotta Tile ink on Whisper White cardstock.  I used the Ornate Style stamp set to stamp the small flower image all over using Mint Macaron ink (stamped off once so it was a little lighter).  I used the Stitched Shapes Dies to cut the greeting out and matted it with an Early Espresso scalloped circle that was cut with the Layering Circles Dies.  I used the Ornate Layers Dies to cut a little accent piece out of Old Olive cardstock (I had to used my Paper Snips and fussy cut around the die cut piece as it doesn't cut the border, just the design).  The greeting piece was attached to the cardfront with dimensionals.

I love the bright, summery colors on this card and these flowers are perfect for summer!  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing using this card sketch for inspiration play along, we would love to see what you create.

Paper Craft Crew Inspiration Challenge #PCC379: Jar of Flowers

Good morning!

It's an exciting day in the paper crafting world, Stampin' Up!'s new Annual Catalog was released today and we can start ordering lots of fun goodies.  One of the new bundles being released is the Jar of Flowers stamp set with coordinating punch so I decided to use it for today's Paper Craft Crew Inspiration Challenge card.

I used Crumb Cake cardstock for the cardbase of this card and then added a piece of Mango Melody cardstock which was embossed with the Subtles 3D Embossing folder for the cardfront and then added a piece of the new In Good Taste Designer Series Paper (there are so many amazing patterns in this pack, you'll want to make sure to include it on your first order).

For the stamped image I stamped the jar, flowers, and stems from the Jar of Flowers stamp set on Whisper White cardstock and then colored it in using my Stampin' Blends.  I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut out the white layer and then matted it with Terracotta Tile cardstock as a mat.

I used the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set for the greeting and stamped in Cajun Craze ink on Crumb Cake cardstock before cutting it out with the Stitched Shapes Dies and attached the greeting with dimensionals.  To finish off the card I added a bow using the Old Olive Ribbon in the Ornate Garden Ribbon Combo Pack.

This card is perfect for summer, I love the warm colors and textures and this stamp set will be good for projects for all seasons.  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing using this inspiration picture and we would love for you to share what you create.
