Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge #PCC355: Birds of a Feather

Good morning!

Halloween is for all ages which means we can't always have over the top scary Halloween items, lots of little trick-or-treaters (and those young at heart, hahah!)  want to celebrate without all the bad dreams.  It's with this in mind that I used this weeks Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge and the Birds of a Feather stamp set to make this cute pirate duck themed card that everyone can enjoy!

I started with Smoky Slate cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Basic Black cardstock as mat for the Pumpkin Pie cardfront which is embossed with the Stylish Scrolls Embossing Folder and then sponged with Pumpkin Pie ink so the embossing really pops.

Next I added a piece of Monster Bash Designer Series Paper as a mat along with a piece of Basic Black 3/8" Scalloped Edge Ribbon.  For the main stamped piece I stamped our duckie friend from the Birds of a Feather stamp set in Momento Black ink on Whisper White cardstock and then colored it in with Stampin' Blends before cutting it out with the Stitched Rectangle Dies and attaching it to the cardfront.

To finish off the card I stamped the greeting on Smoky Slate cardstock in Basic Black and then hand cut it out with Paper Snips before attaching with Black Mini Dimensionals.  The Whisper White Baker's Twine for the bow was dyed with Daffodil Delight ink before tying for a touch of color.

Now this duckie is all set for trick-or-treating, are you?  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing for this fun card sketch and play along, we would love to see what you come up with.
