Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge #336: Tags in Bloom

Good morning!

Today is the final day of Sale-a-bration 2020, how is that possible?  The first part of the year has gone so quickly, and is certainly not anything we could have predicted, all we can do is take one day at a time.  To close things out I decided to use one of the new SAB items, Tags in Bloom, for this weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge.  I love how this stamp set coordinates with two of our new punches and has a great variety of images, I mean that greeting...it is perfect right now!!

I started with Pool Party cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock that was embossed with the Tufted 3D Embossing Folder (and then I added pearls to all the intersections.  I finished off the cardfront by adding a piece of Poppy Parade Designer Series Paper from the Brights 6"x6" Designer Series Paper Pack.

For the main stamped image I stamped the floral frame image on Whisper White cardstock using Basic Black ink and then colored it in with Stampin' Blends.  The greeting was stamped in Basic Black ink on Pool Party cardstock before punching it out with the Label Me Lovely Punch (I used the small flower stamp to stamp all over the background of the greeting piece for extra dimension).  Dimensionals were used to attach the greeting and Basic Black cardstock is a mat for the whole stamped image.  The final touch is a bow tied with some Poppy Parade Twine from the Country Club Twine Combo Pack.

I love the bright, cheery colors of this challenge, perfect to bring a smile to your day, which we all can use.  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing for inspiration and then we would love for you to play along with us and share what you create!

Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge #PCC374: Welcome Easter

Good morning!

Things are very chaotic right now as we're adjusting hourly to changes, hubby and I have both move to working from home for the indefinite future.  Despite everything that's going on I'm also looking forward and Easter will be here soon so I decided to use this weeks Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge to get a head start on my Easter cards.  I actually spent this past weekend coloring lots of images from the Welcome Easter set, these little critters are so cute!

I used Daffodil Delight cardstock for the cardbase and then took a piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock and embossed it with the Swirls and Curls Embossing Folder.  There are so many beautiful floral images in the Best Dressed 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Pack so I used two different prints on this card before wrapping a piece of Mint Macaron 1/4" Textile Ribbon.

The cute little chick was stamped in Basic Black ink on Whisper White cardstock before being colored with Stampin' Blends and cutting it out with the Stitched Shapes Dies.  I added a strip of Lovely Lipstick cardstock behind the circle which was attached with dimensionals.  The greeting is from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set and was stamped on Mint Macaron cardstock using Blackberry Bliss ink and punched it out with the Classic Label Punch.  Of course I wanted to add a little bling so I added some rhinestones as the perfect sparkling touch.

The rich, bright colors aren't what you normally find for Easter but it certainly works for spring, which I love.  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing and we would love for you to play along and share what you create using this sketch.

Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge #334: Lovely Lily Pad

Good morning!

I was surprised to see that the daffodils in my flower beds have already started blooming, it's really early but I'm enjoying all the cheery colors and hoping we don't get anymore cold weather that could hurt them.  I was so excited when I saw this weeks  Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge as it definitely makes me think of those spring colors and while I was a little sad I didn't have any flamingo stamps to use so I decided to focus on the water lilies in the inspiration pictures and once again went for the Lovely Lily Pad stamp set.

I started with Mint Macaron cardstock for the cardbase and then added Basic Black cardstock as a mat for the cardfront that's from the Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper.  I also used the coordinating Lily Pad Dies to make the fun decorative piece along the left side using Lovely Lipstick cardstock.

Next I stamped the Lily Pad and Flowers before cutting them out with the Lily Pad Dies.  The greeting is from the Little Lady Bug stamp set and was stamped in Gorgeous Grape on Whisper White cardstock before being cut out with the Rectangle Stitched Dies.  The final touches on the card are some Rhinestones as well as a couple of pieces of Mint Macaron 1/4" Textile Ribbon.

This watercolor pattern on the DSP is a perfect background for this card and love these bright, cheery colors.  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing using this inspiration challenge and we would love for you to play along and share what you create.
