Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge #685: You're the Best

Good morning,

We are away at the beach this week and I love beach vacations since you truly get to relax and reset.  Of course I always take some craft projects with me as they are relaxing as well.  Today I'm sharing the card I made for this weeks Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge.  We have a friend in a competition soon so I made this to give to let her know how proud we are.

This card uses Cloud Cover cardstock for the casebase and then I embossed the Basic Black cardfront with the new, coming in September, Softly Woven 3D Embossing Folder (love the texture.

Next I used the Cute as a Bug Designer Series Paper for both patterned papers (love how there's a sheet with little scenes perfectly sized for 3x4 or 4x6 to make cardmaking and memory keeping super easy!).  Next I used the Sweet Bugs bundle to stamp the little ants marching (they look like they are celebrating my friend, haha!) and colored them in with Stampin' Blends before cutting them out with the coordinating dies and attaching to the card with dimensionals.

The greeting is from the You're the Best stamp set and was stamped in Poppy Parade ink on Petal Pink cardstock before being cut out with the Stitched Shapes dies and attached with dimensionals.  The final touch was to add some Shimmering Dots as accents.

Paper Players Theme Challenge #PP771: Endless Love

Good morning,

Of course I'm still playing along with my valentine goodies (and loving it) so playing along with this weeks Paper Players Theme challenge was right on point.  Since I have all dudes in my house I always need to lean towards a more masculine feel on cards.

This card started with Cherry Cobbler cardstock for the cardbase and then I added a piece of Basic Black cardstock as a mat for the Crumb Cake cardfront.

On the cardfront I used the Endless Love stamp set to stamp the small grouping of hearts in Crumb Cake ink in a diagonal down the cardfront.  The greeting is also stamped on this layer using both the Endless Love and Reason to Celebrate stamp sets.

Next, I started cutting hearts with the coordinating Endless Love dies.  The large heart is Flirty Flamingo and I embossed it with the Hearts of Love 3D embossing folder.  I used a piece of Made with Love Designer Series Paper for the middle heart (I colored a piece of Black & Very Vanilla 3/8" Large Check Ribbon with the Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends to coordinate better with this card.

The smallest heart is Crumb Cake and I used the arrow die to cut an arrow out of Basic Black cardstock to add behind the heart.   The "together & always" sentiment is from the Endless Love stamp set and was fussy cut before attaching with dimensionals.

This card turned out so fun, love all the textures and patterns!

Amber Autumn Birthday Greetings

Good morning,

We're back with another card using pieces that were already colored, just waiting for a home.  Today is the acorn piece from the Amber Autumn Bundle.

This card starts with Basic Beige cardstock for the cardbase and then a piece of Gathering Together Speciality Designer Series Paper as the cardfront which was matted with Crushed Curry Cardstock.  I added another piece of the DSP across the center as a belly band and matted it with Early Espresso cardstock.  Around this piece I did wrap some Old Olive Twine from the Early Espresso & Old Olive Linen Thread Pack and tied a bow.

The main stamped piece was stamped on Basic White cardstock and after coloring it in with Stampin' Blends cut it out using the coordinating Amber Autumn Dies before attaching with dimensionals.

The greeting is from the Coneflower Celebrations stamp set and was stamped in Cajun Craze ink on Basic Beige cardstock before cutting it out with the Stitched Rectangle Dies.  The final touch was to add a few Streaked Dots as accents.

This card is definitely leaning more towards the masculine side which is perfect since I have lots of guys in my life that I enjoy celebrating their special days!

Rustic Centerpiece Birthday Greetings

Good morning,

So after cleaning up from the busy Christmas crafting season I was clearing off my table and found a couple of pieces that I had already stamped and colored so they were just waiting to be finished off so I decided that this week I'm going to share them but they are going to be for birthdays!

This card starts with Pecan Pie cardstock for the cardbase and then a piece of Timeless Plaid Designer Series Paper as the cardfront.

Next I stamped the main image using the Rustic Centerpiece stamp set on Basic White cardstock and after coloring it in with Stampin' Blends cut it out using the Deckled Rectangles Dies (love how the irregular edges of this die work with the rustic look of the stamp!).  This piece was attached to the cardfront with dimensionals.

The greeting is from The Right Words stamp set and was stamped in Basic Black ink on Peacan Pie cardstock before fussy cutting out.  A piece of Irregular Weave 3/8" Trim was added behind the greeting which was attached with dimensionals.

This card turned out so pretty and will certainly brighten someone's special day!
