Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge #PCC372: Lovely Lily Pad

Good morning!

This winter has been very weird and mild, hard to even call it winter but it hasn't stopped me from looking forward to spring and all the flowers and bright colors that come with it.  All the Lily products in this years Sale-a-bration catalog are perfect for thinking about springtime beauty so they became the focus for this weeks Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge card.

For this card I started with Mint Macaron cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Pretty Peacock as a mat for the cardfront which is a piece of Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper (a SAB Freebie!)  To make the lily I stamped the flower from the Lovely Lily Pad set (another SAB freebie) directly on the pink pattern piece from the Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper and then cut it out with the coordinating Lily Dies (a SAB freebie).  I also stamped and cut out the leaves using Mint Macaron as well as the lily pad which is on Garden Green cardstock.  I also added a little extra detail to the flower by cutting out the outline detail using the dies and Gorgeous Grape cardstock.

To finish off the card I added the greeting which is from the Little Lady Bug stamp set (a hostess freebie during SAB) and after stamping in Gorgeous Grape ink on Whisper White cardstock I used Paper Snips to cut out the greeting and Mini Dimensionals to attach it.  I also added a piece of Pretty Peacock 1/2" Scalloped Linen Ribbon and some Silver Pearls from the Metallic Pearls pack.

The colors are so rich in this card, I love it, and all the dimension in the card.  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing as inspiration with this sketch and then we would love for you to play along with us and share what you create.

Fab Friday Sketch Challenge #FabFri183: Perfectly Framed

Good morning!

When I saw this years Sale-a-bration catalog the very first item that caught my eye was the Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper, it is truly stunning!  I've decided to focus this week on this amazing designer series paper, as well as the other coordinating products and started out playing along with this weeks Fab Friday sketch challenge.  For this card I decided to keep it nice and simple and let the DSP be the star of the show.

I started with Grapefruit Grove cardstock for the cardbase and then used Blackberry Bliss cardstock as a mat for the Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper which is the cardfront.

Next I took another pattern from the DSP pack and cut a circle using the Stitched Shapes Dies.  The greeting is from the Perfectly Framed stamp set and was stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink on Whisper White cardstock before cutting it out with the Ornate Frames Dies (I was so happy to see these dies carryover from the Holiday Catalog).  I used the same dies to cut out a frame for the greeting using Garden Green carstock and used dimensionals to attach the greeting to the card.  The final touch is a double bow I tied using Linen Thread.

When the paper is so beautiful you don't need lots of fuss and I love the bright, cheery colors and patterns, perfect for sending everyday!

Paper Craft Crew Inspiration Challenge #PCC370: Little Lady Bug

Good morning!

So happy to have a break in the rain today, even if just for a little bit, which is perfect to go along with this weeks Paper Craft Crew Inspiration Challenge.  Spring is in Bloom is our inspiration and I decided some bright and cheery poppies, along with a cut little lady bug would be perfect.

For this card I used Poppy Parade cardstock for the card base and then added a piece of Basic Black cardstock as a mat for the Whisper White cardfront.  I embossed the cardfront with the Tufted 3D embossing folder (but make sure to stamp the greeting first before embossing).  I also added a piece of Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper which was matted with Basic Black cardstock for that pop of springtime color.

For the stamped images I used the Little Lady Bug stamp set (you can earn this set for FREE with a $300 order or party during Sale-a-bration).  I stamped the image on Whisper White cardstock and then cut this piece as well as the Basic Black mat using the Ornate Frames Dies and then colored the lady bug in with my Stampin' Blends.  To finish off the card I added a piece of Old Olive Ribbon from the Botanical Prints Product Medley to peak out from beneath the lady bug which was attached with dimensionals.

This card is the perfect mix of cute and springtime colors and blooms to send a fun message (I'm actually using this as a Valentine this year).  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing for inspiration and we would love for you to play along and share what you create.

Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge #PCC369: Painted Poppies

Good morning,

It's been an interesting week, that's for sure and just working one thing at a time trying to get everything on that to do list done.  Of course I had to take a little break for a little crafting and made this lovely card using this weeks Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge.

For this card I used Old Olive cardstock for the cardbase and then added Mossy Meadow cardstock as a mat for the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper cardfront.

For the stamped image I cut out a label using the Painted Labels Dies and Whisper White cardstock and stamped the flower from the Painted Poppies stamp set and the greeting from the Little Lady Bug set.  I used Stampin' Blends to color in both the stamped flower image as well as the piece of Gold 3/8" Metallic Edge Ribbon.  I also added a little piece of Early Espresso cardstock behind the flower piece, which was attached with dimensionals.

To finish off the card I added another piece of the coordinating DSP to the top right corner, as well as a piece of Pressed Petals Specialty Washi Tape and finished off by adding some Peaceful Poppies Sequins as an accent.

I can't get over how gorgeous all the paper in in this designer series paper pack, so easy to use and coordinates with everything else in the product suite to a T.  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing for inspiration using this sketch challenge and we would love for you to play along with us and share what you create!
