Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge #456: One More Year

Good morning,

What a fun weekend, in addition to attending the Philadelphia Eagles Superbowl Victory Parade, we were able to spend part of the day with Aidan on his birthday and celebrate him turning 20!  I'm sharing the card I made for him for this weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge creation.

For this card I started with a carbase of Boho Blue cardstock and I cut 1" off the right side front so the inside panel was partially visible.  On the inside I added a piece of Basic White cardstock as well as strip of  Timeless Plaid Designer Series Paper.

On the front I took another pattern from the DSP pack and matted it with Mossy Meadow cardstock for the cardfront.

Next I cut 2 circles with the Stitches Shapes dies, one in Misty Moonlight that was embossed with the Plaster Painting 3D embossing folder, and the other was Basic White.  One the white circle I stamped the birthday cake from the One More Year stamp set and colored it in with Stampin' Blends.  Now remember when you attach the white circle to the front to NOT add adhesive to the right side as it will hang over the edge of the cardfront and will will inadvertently seal your card shut, haha!

The greeting is from the same stamp set (just used part of the stamp) and was stamped on Pebbled Path cardstock before being cut out with the Stitched Rectangle Dies and attached with dimensionals.  I added a trio of Drusy Adhesive Backed Embellishments on the greeting for a fun accent.  To finish off the card I cut out the "20" from Silver Foil and the Birthday Celebration dies so I could personalize the card with his age.

I was so happy with how this card turned out and know the kiddo appreciated spending time together even though he's away at school.

Paper Craft Crew Inspiration Challenge #607: Hearts of Elegance

Good morning,

It's been a great week and I wanted to share a card I made this weekend using this weeks Paper Craft Crew Inspiration Challenge.  Of course I'm still on the Valentine roll and loving it, haha!  Now you know I love me the Marbled Elegance Speciality Designer Series Paper and have been using it EVERYWHERE but I decided to take a break and make a valentine NOT using that paper.

This card using Basic White Thick cardstock for the cardbase and then added Cherry Cobbler Cardstock as a mat for the Basic White cardfront.  Now before adhering the pieces together I embossed the greeting using the Hearts of Elegance stamp set, Black Embossing Powder, and the Heat Tool.  Next, I embossed the card using the So Swirly Embossing Folder (you have to make sure you heat emboss the greeting before embossing the cardfront to get a good image).

Next I used the Hearts of Elegance dies to cut the large stitched design heart in Cherry Cobbler and the small heart using Gold Foil.  The black heart is stamped on Basic White cardstock with Black ink and then fussy cut with Paper Snips.  I attached all three of these hearts to the cardfront (dimensionals were used on the gold heart).  The final touch was to add a couple of Adhesive Backed Heart Sequins around the heart bundle.

This card has such a simple, elegant feel and I just love it!  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing and we would love for you to play along and share what you create.

Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge #453: Reindeer Fun

Good morning,

We've arrived safely in Hilton Head and looking forward to enjoying the island and some Christmas fun.  Thought I would share a great card I made using the Reindeer Fun bundle for the Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge.

This card started with a cardbase of Cherry Cobbler cardstock and then I used the Reindeer Fun dies to cut out the circle opening in Basic White cardstock.  Behind the circle I added a piece of Iconic Celebrations Designer Series Paper and popped the top piece up with dimensionals.  I also used the dies to cut out the string of lights with Gold Foil Sheets for a little extra bling.

The reindeer is from the stamp set and after using my Stampin' Blends I cut him out with the coordinating dies and used dimensionals to attach him as well.

The ribbon is Cherry Cobbler & Gold 1/4" Satin Ribbon and was perfect for wrapping around the cardfront and tying a knot.  To finish off the card I stamped the greeting in Garden Green ink on Basic White and attached it with, you guessed it more dimensionals.

I was so happy with how this card turned out, it screams perfect holiday fun and I can't wait to send it to someone special!

Paper Craft Crew Inspiration Challenge #593: Autumn Expressions

Good morning,

The leaves changing color and falls arrival are the inspiration for this weeks Paper Craft Crew inspiration challenge.  The Splendid Autumn Designer Series paper is perfect for all your fall projects and I love it!

This card uses Mossy Meadow cardstock and then I used Cajun Craze cardstock as the mat for the DSP (it's so beautiful I had to let it be the star of the card).

The stamped image is from the Autumn Expressions stamp set and was stamped in Cajun Craze ink on Very Vanilla cardstock.  I used the woodgrain stamp to stamp the background using Crumb Cake ink and stamped off once to make the image lighter.  Once I was finished stamping I cut the piece out using the Deckled Circles dies and then attached it to the cardfront using dimensionals.

To finish off the card, I added a bow out of Wild Wheat 3/8" Rustic Striped Ribbon and then added a few Faux Glass Dots as an accent.

This card turned out just lovely and perfect for this time of year and letting someone know how much you appreciate them.  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing for inspiration and we would love for you to share what you create using this challenge.
