Fab Friday Color Challenge 114: Crafting Forever

Happy Thursday!  I can't seem to get enough of the new 2017-2019 In Colors, aren't they just delicious?  When I saw that the new In Colors were the colors in this weeks Fab Friday color challenge I knew I had to play along, but using all five colors could get a little busy but then the idea of using a single pen from the image in the Crafting Forever set came to mind, I love fabulous and colorful pens so this is perfect.

I started with Powder Pink cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Tranquil Tide cardstock as a mat for the Whisper White cardfront.  On the cardfront I used the Timeless Textures stamp set and stamped the floral image using Powder Pink ink (stamped off once so it's a little lighter) and then a couple of the splatter images using Berry Burst ink.  The greeting is from the All Things Thanks stamp set and was stamped in Tranquil Tide Ink.

To make the pen I started by using the Crafting Forever stamp set and stamped the pens using Basic Black ink and then colored it in using my 2017-2019 In Color Stampin' Write Markers before cutting it out with Paper Snips and attaching it to the cardfront with dimensionals.

I wanted to add a little extra to the card so I started by punching a piece of Lemon Lime Twist with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch and then embossed it with the Big Shot and Garden Trellis Embossing Folder.  I added a Glitter Enamel Dot (I love the glitter in these and the range of colors in the package due to the ombre effect) to the center of the circle and then attached it to the cardfront with dimensionals while have a little piece of Fresh Fig 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon as tails peaking out.

There's not a lot of things on this card but I was able to use several different stamps and layers to build all the elements of the card, and who wouldn't like to write some fabulous cards using such a beautiful pen!
