The cardbase is Basic Black and I added a layer of Blackberry Bliss card stock that was embossed with the Big Shot and Fancy Fans Embossing Folder. Next I added a piece of Gold Fancy Foil Vellum that I backed with Whisper White cardstock so it really popped. I wrapped a piece of Blackberry Bliss 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon around this layer.
For the greeting I decided to add some heat embossing for the greeting (my friend loves the look of heat embossing). I used the Bring on the Cake stamp set, stamped in Versamark on Basic Black cardstock and then used Gold Heat Embossing Powder and the Heat Tool to emboss the greeting. I cut this piece out with the Big Shot and Apothecary Accents Framelits. I created the mat for the greeting with Gold Foil cardstock and traced the outside edge of the same framelit and cut it out with Paper Snips so it exactly matches the shape. The greeting, of course, was attached to the cardfront with dimensionals for added pop.
This card has such a royal and elegant feel I think it's perfect to celebrate a birthday event that only comes along once in a life time and I know she'll love this.
