Happy Thursday friends! We've made it past the midpoint in the week and we've been having much nicer weather this week (no snow since Sunday) and even though it's raining today I'll take it! Today I have a fun and bright card for this weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge. Being that I'm in a house full of boys I'm always looking for "dude" cards and this Rev Up the Fun stamp is so perfect. The cardbase is Smoky Slate and I added a layer of Pumpkin Pie DSP from the Polka Dot Parade Designer Series Paper pack and matted it with Basic Black Cardstock. For the main stamped image I stamped the motorcycle in Pumpkin Pie ink and then colored in the tires and lightning bolt with my Basic Gray Stampin' Write Marker. I also added some tire tread marks by stamping with Smoky Slate. This piece was also matted with Basic Black Cardstock.
For the fun decorative elements I added a piece of Silver Foil that I cut out with the Big Shot and the Starburst Framelits along the right side and a couple of flags, one using the Silver Foil paper that was embossed with the Chevron Embossing Folder and a piece of Basic Black Chevron Ribbon. The final touch was to stamp the greeting with Basic Black ink on Smoky Slate cardstock and punched it out with the Large Oval Punch before attaching it to the cardfront with dimensionals.
This card is so fun and definitely "all boy" while not being too little kiddish, I could see giving this to a guy for retirements, Father's Day, or birthdays no matter the age and I love how you can add lots of little elements while not sending the card overboard.
Hope you enjoy and have a great day!
