Scrappy Saturday: Weeks 7 and 8

The weekend has arrived and as you read this I'm standing in my race corral in downtown DC waiting for the Rock and Roll Half Marathon to start.  I've been training for this first race of the season all winter (despite all the snow and crazy cold) and I'm really excited to see the results of all the hardwork, so please wish me luck.  Things were really busy last weekend and while I had a new scrapbook page done I just forgot to share it so this week I'm sharing both pages for this layout together.  This page was from our Thanksgiving visit to PA where we visit our very close friends from college and their families.  This is something we do every year and really look forward to relaxing and having a great time (and the kid's have a great time, which is so fun to see).

 

I started with a predesigned page layout in My Digital Studio but changed the size from 8x8 pages to 12x12 pages to go along with the rest of my book and then added several elements, text, etc. to personalize it.  I like how this page really reflects the fun we have just hanging out together, we're so thankful for such great friends and family.  Below is the supply lists for both pages.

Are you keeping up with the goals you set at the beginning of the year?  I'm still going strong with my scrapbooking and get so much joy with each page I complete as I remember all the special times and can't wait to share this book for years to come.  There's still plenty of time for you to join me, if it's digital or traditional scrapbooking, it's all about making something for your family to remember for years to come.
