Hand Stamped Sentiment Sketch Challenge #293: 25 Again

Good morning!  Man it's hot out there, this heat wave is intense which is a good thing that this week the Hand Stamped Sentiments team as a color challenge with colors that are sure to help cool things down.  Once again I'm sharing an idea using my featured product of the week, the 25 Again stamp set but this time there's no coloring and we're just using the greeting.

I started with Pool Party cardstock for the cardbase and then added Smoky Slate as a mat for the Whisper White cardfront.  On the cardfront I used the new Gallery Grunge stamp set (you will love this one!) and stamped the large "hardwood floorish" design in Pool Party ink and the other image in Smoky Slate repeated offset running the length of the card.

Next I took a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock and first cut it out with the Big Shot and Stitches Shapes Framelits and then embossed it with the Basket Weave Dynamic Embossing Folder before sponging all over to highlight the embossing.

The greeting was stamped in Basic Black ink on Pool Party cardstock and then I used the Wood Crate Framelit die to cut it out (I used the crate framelit and lined up the paper in the bottom piece of the die and then ran it through the Big Shot twice to cut it down to the size I wanted).  Just another way to use our dies and extend their versatility.

To finish off the card I took a piece of Silver 3/8" Metallic Edge Ribbon and colored it with the Smoky Slate Dark Stampin' Blends Marker and attached it under the greeting (which was attached to the cardfront with dimensionals) and then tied a small bow using Daffodil Delight 1/4" Double Stitched Ribbon and attached it.

I love the soft feel of these colors and the different levels and textures help punch the card up and perfect to send heartfelt birthday greetings.  Make sure to go check out the other cards the design team is sharing using these same colors and then play along with us and share what you create, we would love to see what you come up with.
