SSINKspiration Technique Challenge #SSINKTC53: Ink, Twine, and Paper

Good morning! The guys have left for their week of 18th century wilderness camping fun and mom gets to stay home and enjoy showers, AC, and crafting (haha!)It's always fun to see when different stamping techniques become popular as they start to pop up everywhere.  Today the SSINKspiration blog has a new technique challenge and we're doing the ink, twine, and paper technique.  The funny thing is that I shared this technique earlier this month at card class and it was a hit but we were talking about trying to add different colors for today's card I inked the baker's twine with three different colors (Mint Macaron, Flirty Flamingo, and Berry Burst).  Not only is this technique so easy but I like how you get a different look each time.

After letting the inked image dry I used the Special Celebrations stamp set and stamped the birthday greeting in Basic Black ink.  I had a couple ink spots so I used some rhinestones in the top right corner to help conceal the ink.  I used pieces of Flirty Flamingo and Berry Burst cardstock offset to mat the stamped image and then Mint Macaron was used as the cardbase.

These colors cascade like a waterfall and are soft and pretty, perfect to send birthday wishes.  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team made using this technique, each has a unique look and then we would love for you to play along with the challenge and share what you create.
