SSINKspiration Occasions Birthdays: Custom Tee

Happy Friday!  Hope your new year is off to a great start, we're even looking at our first snow of the season.  One of the things that we all celebrate all year long is birthdays so today the SSINKspiration designers have gotten together to share some birthday cards to help you get a head start on birthday greetings for the upcoming year.  This years Occasions catalog is jam packed with stamps, framelits, and lots of fun papers and embellishments for all your birthday needs.   One of the first stamp sets I knew I had to get when I first saw the catalog was the Custom Tee and coordinating Tie Died stamp set since they're so fun and full of so many options.

I started with Dapper Denim cardstock and used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set to stamp some splatter using Dapper Denim ink in the background.  I also added some enamel stars from the Metallics and 2016-2018 In Colors Enamel shapes as accents.

Next I took a piece of Cucumber Crush designer series paper from the 2015-2017 In Colors Designer Series Paper Stack and then matted it with Peekaboo Peach cardstock.  I used some Basic Black cardstock and the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Die (I used my Paper Snips to trim off all the little nobbies that look leaf like to make the shape a little more masculine).

For the main stamped image I used the Custom Tee stamp set and stamped the t-shirt outline in Basic Black ink and then then used the Tie Died stamp set and Stampin' Write Markers to create my tie died shirt look.  I stamped the #1 in Basic Black as well before cutting out the shirt with the coordinating T-shirt Builder Framelits and attached the shirt to the cardfront with dimensionals.  The greeting is from the same stamp set and was stamped in Cucumber Crush ink on Peekaboo Peach cardstock, punched out with the Classic Label Punch and attached with dimensionals for a perfect final touch.

I was so happy with how fun this card turned out and I may be making several more of these in the future (even changing up the colors) since it's so cheery!  Make sure to check out all the other birthday cards the design team is sharing, you'll love them!

Have a great weekend!

  1. I just love all the background stamping and layering you add to all of your projects, especially this one! The card has a masculine but still fun feel to it!
