Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge #328: Lots of Cheer (30 Day Gratitude Challenge - Day 19)

Good morning!

I'm ready to fully embrace Christmas being right around the corner (I even started putting up decorations last night, but it's a week process so it's not in everyone's face yet!)  So it's only fitting that this weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments inspiration challenge is all about Christmas and I decided to combine it with today's gratitude card.

I started with Cherry Cobbler cardstock for the cardbase and then used Early Espresso cardstock as a mat for the Christmastime is Here Specialty Designer Series Paper.

I used the Lots of Cheer stamp set for the ornament and it was stamped in Momento Back ink on Whisper White cardstock before being colored in with my Stampin' Blends and being cut out with the Stitched Shapes Dies.

The greeting is from the Daisy Delight stamp set and was stamped in Early Espresso and cut out with the Stitched Rectangle Dies before being sponged around the edges with Cherry Cobbler ink.

The finishing touches on this card was a little bit of the Cherry Cobbler 3/8" Diagonal Stripe Ribbon and then I cut the star element out of Gold Foil using the Stitched Stars Dies (these are fabulous!)

I love any chance that I can get a little coloring therapy in and this card will definitely be put to use this season.  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing and we would love for you to play along with us.

Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge #316: Daisy Delight

Good morning!

It's new catalog day!  I'm so excited for this years Annual Catalog which has so many great new bundles, colors, papers, and embellishments, there is truly something for everyone.  I can't wait to share everything with you.

Today we have a new inspiration challenge over with the Hand Stamped Sentiments which is perfect for summer but I used some carryover products which perfect with the inspiration.

I started with Gray Granite cardstock for the cardbase and then added Whisper White as a mat for the Night of Navy cardfront which is embossed with the Swirls and Curls Embossing Folder.

Next I took a piece of Silver 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon and colored it with the Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends.  The stamp set used is the Daisy Delight and I stamped the daisy twice on Whisper White cardstock with Daffodil Delight ink and then punched it out with the Daisy Punch.  Using a Stampin' Sponge I lightly colored the daisy with the same color ink before curling the petals with a bone folder.  The center of the flower has a Gold Faceted Gem.

The greeting is from the same stamp set and was stamped in Night of Navy ink on Gray Granite cardstock and matted with Granny Apple Green cardstock.

With so many end of the year activities, parties, travel, etc. we always need thank you's so this card will certainly come in handy.  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing for inspiration and we would love for you to join us and share what you create.

SSINKspiration CASE the Designer (Tobe): Daisy Delight

Good morning!  It's Friday, whoo hoo!  Today the SSINKspiration team is playing another round of CASE the designer and this month we're getting our ideas from fellow designer Tobe and you can see the card of her's I picked HERE.  I like Tobe's classic style and letting an element be the star of the card.  I loved her butterfly card so I decided to use the exact same butterfly die and changed but some of the other element for another fun take.

I started with Very Vanilla Thick cardstock and then added Basic Black cardstock as the mat for the cardfront that uses a piece of the Share What you Love Specialty Designer Series Paper (this paper is awesome and this piece has a beautiful pearl effect that is wonderful in person).

Next I added a piece of Grapefruit Grove cardstock and stamped the greeting from the Daisy Delight Stamp set in Basic Black ink.  Instead of wrapping the ribbon around the entire cardfront I just wrapped it around the greeting piece and used Gold 3/8" Metallic Edge Ribbon.

The butterfly die from the Springtime Impressions Thinlits to cut the butterfly out of Basic Black cardstock and then used the Big Shot and Subtle Dynamic Embossing Folder to add some texture to the butterfly (check out this closeup picture).  As I usually do with butterflies I only add glue to the center body so I can fold the wings up off the cardfront.

I love the softness of this card and how the butterfly feels like it's flying off the card, great inspiration Tobe!

SSINKspiration Fabulous Flowers: Daisy Delight

Good morning!  It was a beautiful weekend and we're starting out on the same note this week so it's only fitting that today's SSINKspiration blog is all about fabulous flowers and right now they are popping everywhere!  As I was looking through my stamps decided what to use I just had to use the Daisy Delight stamp set, and coordinating Daisy Punch since Gerber Daisies are one of my favorite flowers.

I started with Old Olive cardstock for the cardbase and then added piece of Tranquil Tide cardstock as a mat for the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper (retiring) that is the background.  I wrapped a piece of Old Olive 3/8" Mini Chevron Ribbon (retiring) around the cardfront and then tied a knot so I could use the tails as leaves for my flower.

For the flower I stamped the large daisy using Daffodil Delight ink on Daffodil Delight cardstock twice and then punched them out with the Daisy Punch.   I used my bone folder to curl up the leaves for more dimension.  For the center of the flower I stamped the swirly circle image also in the set using Tranquil Tide ink on Whisper White cardstock and then punched it out using the 1/2" Circle Punch before attaching it with a dimensional.  To finish off the flower I added a yellow enamel dot from the Glitter Enamel Dots (retiring).

The greeting is from the same stamp set and was stamped in Tranquil Tide on Pool Party cardstock and then I used the Banner Triple Punch to cut the flag tails on one side before attaching it the cardfront.

This card makes me so happy and just smile, I can't wait to sent it out.  I have to say the Delightful Daisy DSP is probably one of my favorite DSP from all the catalogs this year and it's definitely the one I've used the most because of the mixture of floral images as well as watercolor basic designs that add to it's versatility.  Remember for the Daisy Delight stamp set and Daisy Punch, while both these items are carrying over to the new catalog, they will no longer be available as part of a bundle which saves you 10% so now is the perfect time to add these items to your crafting collection (if you don't have them already).
