Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge #324: Gather Together

Good morning!

I love all the colors of fall and this year with falls arrival looking more like summer we're going to have to bring fall into our lives on own for a little bit.  It's with this feeling of fall that I created this card using this weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge as inspiration.  While some of these colors don't jump to mind immediately when you think of fall I just received the Gather Together bundle so I was itching to ink it up.

For this card I started with Grapefruit Grove cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock as a mat for the Very Vanilla cardfront.  To create the cardfront I started by embossing it with the new Winter Knit Embossing Folder and then lightly sponged all over with Mint Macaron ink.

Next I used the Layering Circles Dies to cut a large circle out of Mint Macaron cardstock as the foundation of my flurry of leaves.  I used the coordinating Gathered Leaves Dies (remember you can buy the stamp set and dies as a bundle and save 10%) and cut leaves out of Grapefruit Grove and Terracotta Tile cardstock.  Then I took the large leaf stamp and stamped it in Terracotta Tile ink on Terracotta cardstock, cut it out with the die and then crumbled it up to distress and lightly sponged it.

Right now everywhere I seem to look I see Mint Macaron pumpkins, it's very on trend so I decided to add a couple to my card as well as a larger pumpkin using Pretty Peacock.  To finish off the card I added a little flag of Gold Foil Paper as well as the greeting which uses Terracotta Tile cardstock and Pretty Peacock ink before being cut out with the Layering Ovals Dies (I also sponged around the edges) and attached the greeting with dimensionals.  The final touch, a perfect knot tied with Terracotta Tile 1/2" Scalloped Linen Ribbon.

I hope this card is starting to bring a little fall feeling to you, even if it's blazing hot outside!  And all the texture and elements make this a great card to just reach out and touch, haha!!  Make sure to check out all the other cards the design team is sharing using these colors and we would love for you to play along with us and share what you create.
