Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge #PCC395: Gather Together

Good morning!

It seems like it's finally starting to feel like fall, I'm really loving this cooler mornings.  For today's Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge I decided to use these fall feelings as inspiration for today's card using the Gather Together stamp set, which I love!

I used Crumb Cake cardstock for the case base and then added Early Espresso cardstock as a mat for the Guilded Autumn Speciality Designer Series Paper card front (I love all the metallic accents on this paper!)

The greeting stamped on Very Vanilla cardstock using Early Espresso ink and then was matted with an offset square of Cajun Craze cardstock.  Behind this piece I added a leaf that was cut out of Mossy Meadow cardstock using the Gathered Leaves Dies (and then I light sponged the embossed leaf to help the detail pop).  A strip of Early Espresso cardstock also helps anchor the pieces on the cardfront.

I stamped the small pumpkin image from the Gather Together stamp set using Momento Black ink on Very Vanilla cardstock and then colored it in with Stampin' Blends before cutting it out with the coordinating dies and using Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the pumpkins to the cardfront.  The final touch was to add a bow tied with the metallic ribbon from the Basket Weave and Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack.

I love how these colors work with the Copper Metallic accents, it screams fall, and pumpkin spice haha!  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing using card sketch for inspiration and we would love for you to play along and share what you create.

Paper Craft Crew Inspiration Challenge #PCC359:Gather Together (30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 20)

Good morning!

I know I've been talking about Christmas quite a bit but I haven't forgotten that we are still in fall and we're about ready to celebrate Thanksgiving (which I'm so excited for) so this weeks Paper Craft Crew inspiration challenge is perfect to get a little more fall feelings in for today's gratitude card.  I fell in love with the Come to Gather Product suite this year as soon as I saw it, all those leaves and the cute little pumpkins, so I decided to get it a little inky again for today card.

I started with Cajun Craze cardstock for the cardbase and then added Early Espresso cardstock as the mat for the Very Vanilla cardfront (which was embossed with the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder and sponged with Soft Suede ink).

Next I took a piece of Mint Macaron cardstock and cut it out with the Layering Circles Dies before stamping the greeting from the Gather Together stamp set in Early Espresso.  I used the Gathered Leaves Dies to cut out lots of leaves in various sizes and an assortment of fall colors and then scrunched them up and sponged them with Soft Suede ink to distress them before attaching them to the cardfront to mimic the wreath in the inspiration picture.  The small pumpkins are Very Vanilla and stamped in Soft Suede and attached with dimensionals.  The final touch was to add a ribbon element using the Come to Gather Ribbon Combo Pack.

If this card doesn't make you love fall I don't know what will, love all the textures and dimension.  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing and we would love for you to play along and share what you create with this inspiration.

30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 9

Good evening,

What a chilly start to the weekend, I guess fall won't be lasting long this year (but I'm happy to not be camping like the boy scouts, who I hear are still having fun despite the cold).  I decided to channel all the fall feelings for today's gratitude card using the Come to Gather Product Suite.

I started with Mint Macaron cardstock for the cardbase and then added Early Espresso cardstock as a mat for the cardfront using Come to Gather Designer Series Paper.  Next I added another strip of the DSP (love this woodgrain print!) and matted it with Mint Macaron before tucking a piece of Pretty Peacock 1/2" Scalloped Linen Ribbon under the bottom.

The greeting is from the Love What You Do stamp set and was stamped in Cajun Craze ink on Whisper White cardstock before being cut out with the Stitched Shapes Dies and being sponged around the edges with Early Espresso ink.  To cut out the leaves I used Cajun Craze and Early Espresso cardstock along with the Gathered Leaves Dies.  The pumpkins are from the Gather Together stamp set and was stamped in Pretty Peacock on Mint Macaron cardstock before being cut out with the same dies and attached with dimensionals.

I had lots of fun making this card and it will be equally fun for someone who receives it which I can't wait to send out.  We may already be the first week through November but you still have time to get all your fall and Thanksgiving cards and projects done, and the Come to Gather Product Suite will give you everything you need!

30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 1

Good morning!

How is it November already?  It really doesn't seem possible.  So last year things were really crazy and I wasn't able to do my 30 Day Gratitude challenge, which I missed doing.  This year things are still crazy but I need to get back to some more regular time in the studio to relax and craft, and I need to have cards ready for when I need to express thankful wishes so I'm making this a priority this year.  So I'm kicking this month off with this perfectly fall themed card using the Come to Gather Product Suite.

I started with Pear Pizzazz cardstock for the cardbase and then added two pieces of Come to Gather Designer Series Paper, one as the cardfront and another as a strip down the middle.

For the stamping I used the Gather Together stamp set and stamped the leaf image in Sahara Sand ink on Whisper White cardstock and then used Pretty Peacock ink for the greeting before cutting it out with the coordinating Gathering Leaves dies.  The same dies were used to cut the two pumpkins which were stamped in Pretty Peacock using Terracotta Tile and Mint Macaron cardstock.  I added a piece of the ribbon from the Come to Gather Ribbon Combo Pack and then finished off the card with a couple of Basic Black enamel dots from the Monster Bash Enamel Shapes set.

There are lots of great textures and prints in this designer series paper to really give you lots of options in your crafting, and I actually love the soft colors for fall versus the normal regal colors.  I hope you're able to follow along and enjoy this months gratitude project and maybe even join in, even if you don't have a specific need for a gratitude card at the moment it's so nice to have a stash of cards ready when needed.
