Paper Craft Crew Weekly Challenge #609: One More Year

Good morning,

It's time for another Paper Craft Crew challenge and this week we're focusing on Sale-a-bration products and sharing our favorites (don't forget Sale-a-bration is ending at the end of February so make sure to order and get your freebies ASAP!)  For this card I decided to showcase 2 of my favorite accessories, the Starstruck Embossing Folder and Fruit Salad Designer Series Paper.

The card start with Basic White cardstock for the cardbase and then I added a piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock that's embossed with the Starstruck Embossing Folder and then matted with Early Espresso Cardstock.

Next I took the Fruit Salad Designer Series Paper and cut 2 squares using different prints using the Stitched Shapes dies and a large circle using the same dies (the circle is matted with Early Espresso cardstock and cut using the Layered Circles dies to get a scalloped circle.  Before attaching the circle to the cardfront with dimensionals I wrapped some Real Red & White Baker's Twine around the cardfront and tied a double bow.

The greeting is from the One More Year stamp set (just inked part of the stamp using my Stampin' Write markers) on Basic White cardstock and then cut out using the Stitched Rectangle Dies.  The greeting is also popped up with dimensionals and to finish off the card I added a few Basic Rhinestones for a little bling.

I love how our DSP packs make it easy to let the different patterns be the star of the projects for super easy use.  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing and we would love for you to play along with the challenge and share what you create.

Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge #456: One More Year

Good morning,

What a fun weekend, in addition to attending the Philadelphia Eagles Superbowl Victory Parade, we were able to spend part of the day with Aidan on his birthday and celebrate him turning 20!  I'm sharing the card I made for him for this weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge creation.

For this card I started with a carbase of Boho Blue cardstock and I cut 1" off the right side front so the inside panel was partially visible.  On the inside I added a piece of Basic White cardstock as well as strip of  Timeless Plaid Designer Series Paper.

On the front I took another pattern from the DSP pack and matted it with Mossy Meadow cardstock for the cardfront.

Next I cut 2 circles with the Stitches Shapes dies, one in Misty Moonlight that was embossed with the Plaster Painting 3D embossing folder, and the other was Basic White.  One the white circle I stamped the birthday cake from the One More Year stamp set and colored it in with Stampin' Blends.  Now remember when you attach the white circle to the front to NOT add adhesive to the right side as it will hang over the edge of the cardfront and will will inadvertently seal your card shut, haha!

The greeting is from the same stamp set (just used part of the stamp) and was stamped on Pebbled Path cardstock before being cut out with the Stitched Rectangle Dies and attached with dimensionals.  I added a trio of Drusy Adhesive Backed Embellishments on the greeting for a fun accent.  To finish off the card I cut out the "20" from Silver Foil and the Birthday Celebration dies so I could personalize the card with his age.

I was so happy with how this card turned out and know the kiddo appreciated spending time together even though he's away at school.
