30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 21

Good morning!

Sometimes we craft and we have lots of time and can play and just take our time and see where it leads us, and other times it's a time crunch but you still want something with a handmade touch.  It's in honor of those last minute cards that I made today's gratitude card which uses the Magnolia Lane Memories and More Card Pack for everything but the stamp and the silver metallic thread accent (how awesome is that!)

I added Petal Pink cardstock for the cardbase and then cut down one of the 4"x6" cards to make the cardfront before adding one of the adhesive trim pieces along the left side.  I layered one of the 3"x4" cards for the greeting and stamped it using Basic Black ink and the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set.  The popped up flower is another adhesive piece from the cardpack and I just added some of the silver metallic thread looped underneath it and used a dimensional.

Love how this turned out, really pretty but I was able to make it in just a couple of minutes!

Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge #PCC347: Good Morning Magnolia

 Good morning!

These week the Paper Craft Crew has a fun sketch challenge which I thought would be perfect for showing off the Magnolia Lane Product Suite items (like you aren't already in love enough with these items I know, haha!)

I started with Petal Pink cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock that was embossed with the Layered Leaves Dynamic Embossing folder.  In the top right corner I added a piece of Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper, a piece of Gold Foil Paper, and a little circle embellishment that was cut out of Basic Black cardstock using the Magnolia Memories Dies (you can save 10% when you purchase the dies with the coordinating stamp set as a bundle!).

For the main focal piece I added another pattern from the DSP pack as well as three gold leaves that were cut with the same dies.  The strip of ribbon is from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack

Next I stamped the smaller magnolia image from the Good Morning Magnolia set on Whisper White cardstock and colored it in with my Stampin' Blends (here's a little tip, to add a little extra color to the center of my flower I added accents using the Flirty Flamingo Dark Stampin' Blends and then blended it with my Petal Pink Blends until I got just the look I wanted.

To finish off the card I stamped the greeting on Petal Pink cardstock with Basic Black ink and cut it out with the Classic Label Punch.

This is just the perfect card, either to celebrate a special occasion, or even just because since we should always "enjoy today".  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing and we would love for you to play along with us and share what you create.

Paper Craft Crew CASE the Designer Challenge #PCC344: Good Morning Magnolia

Good morning!

We are continuing our crazy hot summer and it only looks to get worse so it's the perfect weather to head down to the studio and enjoy some crafting in the cool AC.  Today's card uses this weeksPaper Craft Crew challenge which we are CASEing our fellow design team members and putting our own spin on them.  For this card I decided to case the amazing Wendy Weixler and I love her masculine card she shared HERE, and decided to make a more feminine card using the Magnolia Lane Products Suite.

I started with Crumb Cake cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Petal Pink cardstock that was stamped with the new Birch background stamp using Crumb Cake ink.

Next I took a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock and embossed it with the Layering Leaves 3D Embossing Folder and then sponged it with Crumb Cake ink before matting it with Basic Black cardstock.  There are so many beautiful patterns in the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper pack it was easy to find the perfect one's for this card and punched several pieces out using the Tailored Tag Punch before wrapping a piece of 3/16" Braided Linen Trim (after tying a knot I unraveled the trim for a frayed look).

For the greeting I used the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set and heat embossed the greeting using the Heat Tool and Gold Embossing Powder on Mossy Meadow cardstock.  The final touch was to stamp one of the small magnolia flowers on Whisper White cardstock and after coloring it with Stampin' Blends cut it out with the coordinating Magnolia Memories Dies and attached it to the cardfront with dimensionals.

I absolutely love the colors and all the different textures in this card, very elegant.  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing which were inspired by our fellow team members and we would love for you to play along with us and share what you create!

Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge #318: Good Morning Magnolia

Good morning!   It's another hot and humid week but one of the great things about this time of year is all the flowers (even though I have to fight like crazy to keep them alive).  This week the Hand Stamped Sentiments blog has another color challenge and as soon as I saw it I knew it would be perfect for coloring using the new Good Morning Magnolia stamp set and my Stampin' Blends.    The more I use the Blends the more I love them and the relaxation I get just by sitting and coloring (in fact I'm hoping to have time to stamp some images and pack my Blends for our upcoming getaway.  Three hours on the plane means I have quite a bit of time to kill.
For this card I started with Petal Pink cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Calypso Coral cardstock which was a mat for the Crumb Cake cardfront which was embossed with the Basket Weave 3D Embossing Folder and then sponged with Crumb Cake in to really help the design pop.  Now for the fun part, coloring...I stamped the large magnolia from the Good Morning Magnolia set on Whisper White cardstock and used my Stampin' Blends to color it in before cutting it out (honestly I fussy cut the flower with my Paper Snips but only because I forgot it came with a coordinating die set, haha!)

The greeting is from the same stamp set and was stamped in Mint Macaron on Whisper White cardstock before being cut out with the Stitched Shapes dies and sponged with Petal Pink ink before attaching with dimensionals.  The final touch was the bow that uses the Gold 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon that I colored with the Dark Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends Marker.

I have to admit, I love everything about this card, it's so soft and pretty, I just want to touch the each of the elements.  Don't forget to check out the other cards the design team is sharing for inspiration and we would love for you to play along with us and share what you create using this sketch, have fun!
