Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge #686: Web of Fun

Good morning,

We are back from a wonderfully relaxing vacation, always the best kind.  Today I'm playing along with this weeks Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge to make my first Halloween card of the season.  I completely fell in love with the Web of Fun bundle when it was released but this was the first time playing with it.

This card starts with Pumpkin Pie cardstock for the cardbase and then I added two different patterns of DSP from the Frightfully Fun Designer Series Paper pack.  Around this layer I wrapped a piece of Basic Black 3/8" Iridescent Ribbon and tied a knot.

The greeting is from the soon to be released Soiree Salutations stamp set, it has greetings for all occasions so it's perfect (it will be released in September!).  I heat embossed using White Embossing Powder and the Heat Tool so it really popped against the grey spiderweb print.

For the three elements on the side, I fussy cut the cat from another piece of DSP, the "Boo" is a die from the bundle as is the cute little spider.  Each of these pieces was attached to the card with dimensionals.

Love how this card turned out, it's cute and a little spooky for sure.  I did also stamp "Happy Halloween" on the inside of the card, also from the Soiree Salutations set.

Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing as inspiration; we would love for you to play along and share what you create using this sketch.

Paper Craft Crew Weekly Challenge #661: Big Little Things

Good morning,

When I saw the Big Little Things stamp set, which is an online exclusive I knew I had to have it because of the panda image, oh so cute! While I bought the stamp set right away it hasn't seen any ink yet so I thought it would be perfect for this weeks Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge.

I started with Basic White Thick cardstock for the cardbase and then used a piece of DSP from the Florals in Bloom Designer Series Paper matted with Basic Black cardstock for the cardfront.

Next I used the Big Little Things stamp set to stamp the panda image on Basic White cardstock before cutting it out with the Stitched Shapes dies and matting it with a scalloped circle using Basic Black cardstock and the Layering Circles Dies.

The greeting was heat embossed on Basic Black cardstock with White Embossing Powder and the Heat tool before cutting it out with the Stitched Rectangles Dies and attaching with dimensionals.  I finished off the card with a bow tied with Linen Thread and a few flowers from the Hues of Blues embellishments.

This card is so fun, just love how it turned out.  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing and I would love to see what you create using this sketch.

Paper Craft Crew Weekly Challenge #659: Endless Love

Good morning,

With all this cold and crazy snow lately I've been spending more time indoors which means more time in the craft studio, which always makes me happy so this week I'm playing along with the Paper Craft Crew weekly challenge.  I fell in love with the Made with Love product suite when it was released and decided to use the Hearts Gusseted Treat Bags to make valentine treats for my kiddo and his housemates.  These bags are large so they will hold a lot, chocolate in this case.

To decorate the bag I started with a piece of DSP from the Made with Love Designer Series Paper and used the Simply Scored Tool to score every half inch and then accordion folded it.  I used my glue gun and a circle punched from cardstock to create the circle, so fun!

Next, I used the Endless Love stamp set to stamp the greeting on Basic White cardstock .  The heart is from the same stamp set and is heat embossed with Gold Metallic Embossing Powder before being cut out using the coordinating Endless Love Dies and popped up with dimensionals.  The final touch was to tie a bow using some Bubble Bath 1/8" Faux Linen Ribbon.

I absolute love how this turned out and I made different designs for the housemates.  Make sure to check out the other projects the design team is sharing and we would love for you to play along and share what you create.

Joyful Tidings

Good morning,

What a fun day, but it is so nice to be back home and have everyone under one roof!  Today we're planning a relaxing day, which is perfect!  I'm back with the third card in my series using the Joyful Tidings stamp set and I must say, it's a stunner!

I used Pecan Pie cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Elegant Pine Snowflakes Designer Series Paper for the cardfront.  Around this piece I did wrap some Gold Striped 3/8" Mesh Ribbon Around the bottom.

For the stamped image I stamped the wreath in Versamark on Cherry Cobbler cardstock and then heat embossed it with the Wow! Metallics Embossing Powder.  I used the same embossing powder to stamp the greeting on Shaded Spruce cardstock and then cut it out with the Stitched Shapes Dies before adding it to the cardstock with dimensionals.  This whole piece was matted with Pecan Pie cardstock before being attached to the cardfront.

This card is so beautiful in person and after making all three cards I don't know which is my favorite, they all are perfect on their own.  I hope these have helped share some ideas using this stamp set and show it's versatility.
