SSINKspiration Red, White, and Blue: Itty Bitty Greetings

Good morning and Happy Memorial Day!  I hope you are enjoying your holiday weekend and are able to take time to celebrate and honor those who have given their lives for our freedoms.  Today the SSINKspiration team wanted to celebrate this day with a red, white, and blue themed post.  Since it's been crazy hot this weekend I decided to make this fun patriotic themed cool drink to celebrate the day.

I used Pacific Point cardstock for the cardbase and then added some Real Red cardstock as a mat for the black and white DSP from the Tutti-Frutti Designer Series Paper Pack (retiring).  I wrapped a piece of Pacific Point 1/4" Stitched Edge Ribbon (retiring) around the cardfront and then attached a small bow.

For the main image I used the Coffee Café stamp set and stamped the cut in Basic Black ink on Whisper White cardstock and then cut it out with the coordinating Coffee Cup Framelits Dies (remember this set and framelits are carrying over to the new catalog but the bundle savings are only available through the end of May).  I made my layered drink by sponging the different layers using Pacific Point and Real Red ink using the Stampin' Sponge.  I used dies from the same stamp set to cut out the whipped topping, vellum for the cup top and then make a little striped straw.

To finish of the card I used the Big Shot and die from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits die (retiring) to cut the little strip of stars using Pacific Point cardstock and then added a piece of Gold Foil cardstock behind to make the starts gold.  The greeting is from the new Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set and was stamped in Real Red ink on Whisper White cardstock and then punched out with the Classic Label Punch, sponged around the edge with Pacific Point ink and then attached it to the cardfront with Mini Dimensionals.

This drink looks yummy enough to drink and is sure to help cool you down in this year.  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing as inspiration for any crafting you may be doing over the holiday weekend.

SSINKspiration Coffee Cafe

Good morning!  I hope you enjoyed your weekend.   I know friends who are huge coffee drinkers and especially rely on their caffeinated drink to kick start the week so the SSINKspiration team is here to provide a little caffeinated kick start to your creative ideas by sharing projects that use the Coffee Café stamp set.  No you know I'm not a coffee drinker so you'll have to excuse the little bit of liberty I took in making a cold iced drink and then adding whipped cream at the top, that is an actual drink, right?  If not, it totally should be!!

I used Pear Pizzaz cardstock for the cardbase and then added two different pieces of the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper and then wrapped a piece of Garden Green 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon around the center.

To make the drink I started by stamping the cup on Pool Party cardstock using Early Espresso ink and then stamped the ice cubes in Versamark and heat embossed with the Heat Tool and White Embossing Powder before cutting it out with the Big Shot and coordinating Coffee Cup Framelits.  I did the same thing to make the foamy top and straw and used the framelits and Vellum Cardstock for the clear top.

The greeting is from the Birthday Delivery stamp set and it was stamped in Pear Pizzaz ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and cut out with the Big Shot and Stitched Shapes framelits.  I used dimensionals to attach both the greeting and the drink to finish off the card.

I love the color combination that DSP has and this card is so fun to help celebrate a special day.  Just wanted to give you a heads up, the retiring list for this years catalog is going to be released later this afternoon so you will want check back to see what's retiring as things will only be available while supplies last and we all know some things will sell out quickly (i.e. 2016-2018 In Colors, make sure you have your cardstock and reinkers all set).  Also when the retiring list is released some items will be listed at sale prices so take advantage of those while you can!

30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 30

Good morning!  We've reached the end of the month and the last day of this years gratitude challenge.  It's been fun making and sharing all these projects and I'm so excited to have my card stash replenished and ready to go when I need them.  I also hope I've provided some inspiration for project ideas you may have been looking for.  I decided to end the challenge with this fun coffee themed card using products from the Coffee Break Product Suite.  The Coffee Break Designer Series paper as so many beautiful prints that the only thing I needed to stamp for this card was the greeting, the DSP and Coffee Cup Framelits are the stars of this card!

I started with Pear Pizzaz cardstock for the cardbase and then matted a the piece of designer series paper that looks like coffee rings with Early Espresso cardstock for the cardfront.  Next I used the Big Shot and Stitched Shapes Framelits to cut a circle out of Crumb Cake cardstock has the anchor for my coffee cup.

I used the Coffee Cup Framelits to cut the coffee cup out of DSP, the coffee cozy that's embossed using Garden Green cardstock, the white "whipped cream" and the coffee cup top using vellum cardstock.  I did stamp the striped straw using the Coffee Café stamp set using Pear Pizzaz ink and then used a coordinating die to cut it out.

The greeting is also from the Coffee Café stamp set and was stamped in Early Espresso ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and you guessed it, there is also a framelit in the same set to cut it out.  Dimensionals were used to attach the greeting and I finished off the card with a double bow tied with Pool Party Solid Baker's Twine.

This card took a little extra time because of all the die cut pieces but they were finished in a flash and much faster than if I had fussy cut around a lot of stamped pieces and I love how it turned out.  So many of my friends are coffee drinkers so I know they will appreciate this, even Aidan has become a fan of the Peppermint Latte and has taken his bike over to Starbucks to pick one up after a ride (crazy kid!)

Coffee Break Friendship Greetings!

Good morning!  If you're like me you never seem to get enough sleep and you need something to get you started in the morning.  For most people they turn to coffee and while I don't drink it I love the smell and the bonding time with friends sharing a cup with a friend provides.  This month we are having a designer series paper sale (one of my favorite sales of the year) where for each time you buy 3 packages of select paper you can select a fourth for FREE.  The Coffee Break Designer Series paper is one of the packages on sale and to make things even better, between now and October 10 in honor of World Card Making Day you can save 15% of select stamp sets that coordinate with the DSP that's also on sale, how cool is that!

Today's card using both the Coffee Break Designer Series paper but the Coffee Café stamp set that is on sale which makes coordination a breeze for any of your projects.

I started with Crumb Cake cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Coffee Break DSP (before attaching the DSP I wrapped a piece of Linen Thread around the cardbase and adhered it behind the DSP and then tied a bow and attached it on top).

For the stamped images, I used the Coffee Café stamp set and stamped two of the coffee cups and lids using Whisper White cardstock and Early Espresso ink.  The greeting is stamped in Garden Green ink.  Then I used the Big Shot and the coordinating Coffee Cup Framelits to cut out the cups, lids, and coffee cup band out of Garden Green cardstock (love this die since not only does it cut out but it embossed to provide a great texture that you see on the real coffee sleeves).   Next I used the Big Shot and Sweet and Sassy Framelits to cut a heart out of Pool Party cardstock.  The final touch, was to stamp the coffee beans, also in Early Espresso ink, on Crumb Cake cardstock and there's even a die to cut them out as well, so cute!  I used dimensionals to attach the cup lids, heart, and coffee beans, and just like that the card is complete!

This is such a fun card, a great way to let a special friend know that you're thinking of them!
