Best Route Take on Postcard Pals

Good morning!  This week is cruising by and with my kiddo out of town I'm starting to get excited for him to come home (he's been on the go a lot this summer and I miss the little man).  Today I'm sharing another card using the Postcard Pals stamp set and was thinking of Aidan for a more "dude" feeling to this card which would be perfect to tuck into his backpack for school just to cheer him up so I used the Best Route Memories and More Card pack for this quick and easy card.

I started with Gray Granite cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Basic Black cardstock that was embossed with the Big Shot and Maps Etc. Embossing Folder for the cardfront.

The next two layers are cards from the Route Memories and More Card pack and I trimmed the Blueberry Bushel piece down so it was a square and is a perfect mat for the greeting.  I stamped the greeting in Basic Black ink on Mango Melody cardstock and then cut it out with the Big Shot and Layering Circles Framelits.  I used the same framelits and a piece of Gray Granite cardstock to cut the scalloped circle mat and then used dimensionals to attach it.

This is a great card to show off how greetings can be the focus of a card and you don't need lots of embellishments for just the right feel and I can't wait to give this to my kiddo, when he least expects it.  Don't forget about my special along with this weeks Product of the Week, all purchases through Sunday, August 12, 2018 that include the Postcard Pals stamp set earns a FREE Stampin' Blends single marker of your choice (to help you get coloring all those little critters!)

SSINKspiration Travel Adventures: Best Route Scrapbook Page

Happy Friday!  Being that we're in the heart of summer travel is on every one's mind so today the SSINKspiration team is sharing travel themed projects.  I decided to step away from cards for a little and share a page I created for a recent camping trip we went on with several families from our neighborhood.  The Best Route Product Suite is perfect for travel themed projects and is the bulk of the products I used.

I used the 12" x 12" pocket pages to help pull this together quickly as well as the Memories and More Card pack, designer series paper, washi tape, and enamel shapes.  Stampin' Up! really made this easy since everything coordinates.

I did use the Tabs for Everything stamp set for the "Happy Life" tag and others I just hand wrote.

Don't forget to get those pictures off your phones and cameras and into books so you can enjoy them for years to come (also don't forget to back them up but that's not my department, haha!)  We still love looking back through our albums remembering all our great adventures and you will too!

Awesome Greetings: En Route

Good morning!  I'm really loving the Best Route Product Suite and have been playing with it this week so today I have another card to share that would be perfect just to send a little encouragement.

I used Gray Granite cardstock for the cardbase and then added a layer of Mango Melody cardtock behind the Best Route Designer Series pattern paper cardfront.  I added another strip of the coordinating DSP around the middle of the card and matted it with Pineapple Punch cardstock.

For the greeting I went back to the En Route stamp set and ink the greeting directly on the stamp using my Blueberry Bushell and Mango Melody Stampin' Write Markers before stamping on Whisper White cardstock.  I used the Big Shot and Stitched Shapes Framelits to cut the greeting out and attached it to the cardfront with dimensionals.  To finish off the card I took two large pearl jewels and colored them with my Daffodil Delight Dark Stampin' Blends pen before attaching to the greeting piece.

This is a super easy card but fun colors and patterns are sure to bring a smile to someone's face.  I'm thinking this may be added to my stash of cards to send in Aidan's bag randomly when he needs a little encouragement, it's fun to surprise him!

Remember the Best Route Designer Series Paper is part of this months Buy 3 Get 1 Free DSP sale as well as part of my personal sale of the week you can check out on my FB Business Page.

Fab Friday Sketch Challenge 141: En Route

Good morning!  Today I'm playing along with the Fab Friday sketch challenge showcase some of the great products in the Best Route Product Suite which is one of my favorites in the new catalog.

I used Pineapple Punch cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Gray Granite cardstock that was embossed with the Big Shot and Maps, Etc. Embossing Folder (I sponged lightly over the embossing to help highlight it.

Next I added two strips of DSP from the Best Route Designer Series Paper package for the flags.  The greeting is from the En Route stamp set and I stamped in Mango Melody ink on Whisper White cardstock and then used my Big Shot and Layering Squares Framelits to cut the greeting out, as well as the scalloped square mat that was cut out of Basic Black cardstock.  Dimensionals were used to attach the greeting to the cardfront.

To finish off the card I tied a double bow out of Whisper White Baker's Twine and attached it to the bottom corner of the greeting and stamped the like bike image using Blueberry Bushell in on Pineapple Punch cardstock and then cut it out with the 3/4" Circle Punch (I did use 2 dimensionals stacked to attach the circle so it stood up over the greeting.

When I started making this card and saw the bicycle images and immediately thought of my son who took a nasty fall on his bike last week so it will be awhile before he's able to ride again and he was telling me last night one of things he misses most with having a broken wrist is not being able to ride his bike, he will be back on the roads I'm sure, not letting a little tumble get him down!!

Don't forget the Best Route Designer Series Paper (along with one other item in the product suite) is my special of the week and you will receive the Best Route Washi Tape for FREE!  If you haven't placed your order message me and I can include your items with my order.  If placing your order on your own, don't forget to use Hostess Code:  W4TZWC4X.  This offer is valid through Sunday night, July 15, 2018.

The Best Route Designer Series Paper is also part of this months Buy 3 Get 1 Free DSP sale so you can get even more freebies if you take advantage of this sale.

SSINK Father's Day Meets Fab Friday Sketch Challenge: Bubble Over

Good morning!  Today the SSINKspiration team is honoring all the men in our lives ahead of Father's Day this weekend.  I decided to combine this with the Fab Friday sketch challenge for this fun masculine card which is perfect for my hubby (and I'm safe sharing this since he's not on Facebook, haha).

I started with Gray Granite cardstock for the card base and then added a piece of Mango Melody as a mat for the Blueberry Bushel DSP from the Best Route Designer Series Paper Package (this is going to be a popular one for me this year for sure!).

Next I used the Big Shot and Stitched Shapes Framelits to cut the circle outline out of Mango Melody cardstock to anchor my bottle of brew.  To bling it up I added  a piece of 1/4" Copper Trim (I fanned it out a little so it was a little wider).

For the main image I used the Big Shot and Bottles and Bubbles Framelits to cut the bottle out of Early Espresso cardstock as well as the bottle cap and circle accent using Copper Foil Paper.  I used the Bubble Over stamp set to stamp the label on Whisper White cardstock with Mango Melody ink and then cut it out with the same framelits.

The greeting is from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set and was stamped in Blueberry Bushel ink on Gray Granite cardstock and then punched out with the Classic Label punch before attaching it with Mini Dimensionals.

I really like this "dude" card and it suites my hubby.  Make sure to check out the other Father's Day cards the design team is sharing in case you're still working on your Father's Day projects (don't worry you still have time!)
