Paper Players Sketch Challenge #PP805: Sweet Bugs

Good morning,

Happy Friday!  I was in the studio and decided to play along with this weeks Paper Players sketch challenge and in my pile of pieces that have been stamped/colored/cut out and ready for a home I knew I needed to use some of these pieces on today's card.

This card starts with a card base of Cloud Cover cardstock and then added a piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock that's embossed with the Rustic Check 3D Embossing folder.  Next, I took three pieces of the Cute as a Bug Designer Series Paper and layered them as a perfect home for my bugs (one is a small strip under the greeting).

The bug images are from the Sweet Bugs bundle and were stamped and colored with my Stampin' Blends and then cut out with the coordinating dies.

The greeting is from the Rolling Waves stamp set and was stamped on Basic White cardstock using Poppy Parade ink before fussy cutting and attaching with dimensionals.  The final touch were some Radiant Gems added for a little fun bling!

I know fall has arrived but since summer temps returned this week I decided I could definitely use this summer feeling card, it's in the high 80's, oh my!

  1. This is just adorable! As much as I love fall, it's nice to see a non-fall selection! Thanks for playing with us at the Players this week!

  2. Adorable, Diana! What a day brightener this card will be for the lucky birthday recipient! You can't beat the Cute As A Bug designer paper. I agree with LeAnne...it was refreshing to see a non-fall card. Thank you for playing with The Paper Players this week.

  3. Diana, your birthday card couldn't be any sweeter, with that cute little bug hanging out below the flower stem. All the layers and papers match so beautifully, you did a fabulous job mixing and matching your leftovers! Thanks so much for joining the Paper Players this week!
