30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 6

Good morning!

It's been a crazy weekend getting back into the swing of things and I have to admit I really enjoyed the extra hour of sleep we got this morning!

With everything going on today I decided for today's gratitude card to keep it Quick and Easy.  I used the Biggest Wish stamp set and the Celebrate Everything Designer Series paper (which is a hostess reward from the June-December 2022 catalog.

I used Pool Party cardstock for the cardbase and then added Basic White as the cardfront which was matted with Basic Black.  I strip of DSP along the side with Black Baker's Twine from the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack help dress up the card.

30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 5

Good morning!

It was a very long day, but I have to say I'm so happy to be home.  Today I'm off early for the Ashburn Growler Relay and looking forward to see some of my Burn sisters and have some running fun.

I'm back with another gratitude card and this one uses pieces of an old Paper Pumpkin kit that I had sitting on my desk.

The cardfront is Crushed Curry and then I added a piece of Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper as the cardfront.  The brown piece was a pillow box from the Paper Pumpkin kit that I cut apart and then sponged with Soft Suede ink to help bring out the raised pattern.  The three different leaf pieces are from the same kit.

The greeting is from the Color & Contour stamp set and was stamped in Old Olive ink on Basic White cardstock before fussy cutting it out with Paper Snips and attaching with dimensionals.  I did add a few Rhinestones to accent the swirls on the brown piece as a final touch.

This is another fall themed card which is perfect given that it's November and the leaves are falling all around.  Do you like to keep extra pieces from kits to use on other projects or clean up?  I honestly prefer a kit to have just the right number of pieces for the project as I have a hard time throwing things away so they tend to sit around to be used or tossed.

30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 4

Good morning and Happy Friday!

Today I'm heading home and while I've had an amazing time I can't wait to see my family.  Before I start my travels I wanted to make sure to share today's gratitude card, yes I'm getting back on track.

Today's card uses the Wildlife Wonder stamp set and as it's one of the Distinkive stamps the images have such great texture with just a single stamp.

I used Crumb Cake cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper that's matted with Early Espresso cardstock.  I did also add another coordinating piece of DSP across the center of the card.

The image is stamped in Early Espresso ink on Basic White cardstock before being matted with Early Espresso.  The greeting is in the same stamp set and was stamped in Early Espresso but matted with Crumb Cake after being cut out with the Layering Circles dies and attached with dimensionals.  The final touch was to add a single Rustic Metallic Adhesive Backed Dot.

With all the guys in my life I like to have some masculine cards at the ready and this one definitely fits the bill, but it most reminds me of my dad.

30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 3

Good morning!

Last full day in Iceland and more sightseeing is on the agenda, there is so much to see in this country!  I'm back with another gratitude card and decided to change things up and added a Christmas themed card (because we all need thank you cards for the holidays).

This card is really simple but uses the fabulous Sweetest Christmas Designer Series Paper.  The card front is Pool Party cardstock with a DSP cardfront.  I added another piece of the DSP as a belly band with a piece of Garden Green cardstock as a mat.

The greeting is from the Charming Sentiments stamp set and is stamped in Real Red ink on Whisper White cardstock before cutting it and a piece of Pool Party cardstock using the Layering Circles Dies.  A piece of Real Red Ribbon from the Real Red & Garden Green 3/8" Ribbon Combo pack is looped behind the greeting circle that's attached with dimensionals. The final touch was some rhinestone accents (because everyone loves a little bling!)

30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 2

Good morning!

I'm still enjoying running around the Icelandic countryside, today it's off to the South Coast with black sand beaches and waterfalls, so exciting.  I'm back today with another gratitude card using the Artfully Layered stamp set.  This card was really easy, I just worked on layering the different stamps in the set using Crumb Cake, Mossy Meadow, and Soft Sea Foam ink on Very Vanilla cardstock.  I did some stamping off to add different layers of color.  After all the stamping was done I sponged all over using Crumb Cake ink.  This piece was matted with Mossy Meadow cardstock and then attached to the Soft Sea Foam cardfront.

To finish off the card I stamped the greeting on Very Vanilla cardstock with Soft Sea Foam ink and then added faux stitching around the edges with Mossy Meadow ink before sponging with Crumb Cake ink.  I attached the greeting with dimensionals and then added a loop of Evening Evergreen 3/8" Windowpane Check Ribbon coming out the top and a couple of Rustic Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots.

What do you think?  I like how we're able to use so many of the images included in the stamp set to make a simple card with lots of texture!

30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 1

Good morning!

I've taken a break from doing my 30 Day Gratitude challenge but I wanted to get back at this year.  I'm currently traveling in Iceland (and having an amazing time) so I'm going to do my best the first few days while I'll I'm on the road.

Today's card uses the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set and I used the Stampin' Blends to color in all the flowers and leaves (always love a little color therapy with the Blends and then used my Paper Snips to fussy cut out all the elements.

To assemble the card I started with Crumb Cake for the cardfront and then added a piece of Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper that's matted with Basic Black cardstock.  I added another strip of coordinating DSP from the same pack along the left side.  Then I attached the flowers and added a double bow using Linen Thread.  The greeting was stamped with Basic Black ink on Crumb Cake and then fussy cut before attaching with dimensionals.  The final touch was to add some Rustic Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots.

This card is so cheery it will bring a smile to anyone's face, perfect!
