Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge #344: So Sentimental

Good morning!

We are definitely in the hot part of summer, wowsers!  I know I always say it, it's really the humidity that gets you, and I'm do everything I can to keep my flowers alive (love all my potted plants to cheer me up!)  I was thinking of my flowers when I made my card for this weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch challenge, you know you can't kill paper flowers.

I used Bumblebee cardstock for the cardbase and then added Early Espresso card stock as the mat for the two prints of Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper.  I wrapped a piece of Terracotta Tile 1/2" Scalloped Linen Ribbon around the cardfront where the paper meets.

For the main stamped image, I used the So Sentimental stamp set to stamp the thanks greeting in Terracotta Tile ink on Whisper White cardstock.  I used the Ornate Style stamp set to stamp the small flower image all over using Mint Macaron ink (stamped off once so it was a little lighter).  I used the Stitched Shapes Dies to cut the greeting out and matted it with an Early Espresso scalloped circle that was cut with the Layering Circles Dies.  I used the Ornate Layers Dies to cut a little accent piece out of Old Olive cardstock (I had to used my Paper Snips and fussy cut around the die cut piece as it doesn't cut the border, just the design).  The greeting piece was attached to the cardfront with dimensionals.

I love the bright, summery colors on this card and these flowers are perfect for summer!  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing using this card sketch for inspiration play along, we would love to see what you create.

Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge Challenge #PCC365: So Sentimental

Good morning!

Well that first snow of the new year was nice, love when we get some nice, pretty snow but doesn't stay around too long so we can continue to get around, I even ran in the snow this morning before it melted.  I'm back with another card today and this time I'm using this weeks Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge as inspiration.  When I first saw this sketch I knew it would be a great way to show off some of our fabulous new designer series paper and since I'm focusing on the So Sentimental bundle this week decided the Birthday Bonanza DSP would be perfect!

I started with Grapefruit Grove cardstock for the cardbase and then matted with Basic Black cardfront (which was embossed with the Brick and Mortar 3D Embossing folder) with Bermuda Bay cardstock.

Next I added a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock before adding the different patterns of Birthday Bonanza DSP (the top piece was matted with Bermuda Bay cardstock).  The greeting is from the So Sentimental stamp set and stamped in Basic Black ink on Terracotta Tile cardstock before being cut out with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies before attaching it to the cardfront with dimensionals.

To finish off the card I added some rhinestones as well as some Silver Metallic Thread that was looped behind the greeting piece.

I love the fun, fresh colors in this designer series paper, perfect for either boy or girl projects and sure to help bring a smile to a friends face.  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing using this color challenge for inspiration, we would love for you to play along with us and share what you create.

Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge #330: So Sentimental

Good morning!

2020 is off and running and looking forward to a great year!  I've been working on some purging activities around the house and making progress and will have to eventually make my way to the studio, that will be a big task, I love my crafting toys, haha!

Today I'm starting off the year with a new Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge.  It's always fun when the challenge uses colors you wouldn't normally consider to help you get new ideas.  I also decided to showcase one of the great new bundles in the new mini catalog, So Sentimental (I'm a sucker for stitched dies that have so many uses!!)

For this card I used Flirty Flamingo for the cardbase and then layered Pretty Peacock cardstock as a mat for the Crumb Cake cardfront (which I stamped with the All Wired Up stamp using Mossy Meadow ink).

Next I added a piece of Brights Designer Series Paper (Flirty Flamingo) that was cut out with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies (part of the So Sentimental Bundle so you save 10% when you buy both the dies and the coordinating stamp set).  The greeting is from the So Sentimental stamp set and was stamped in Mossy Meadow on Whisper White cardstock before being cut out with the same dies and then sponged around the edges with Pretty Peacock ink and attaching it to the cardfront with dimensionals.

To finish off the card I added some basic Rhinestones for some bling as well as some Pretty Peacock 1/2" Scalloped Linen Ribbon to finish is off.

This is such a pretty card and could be used for wedding, anniversary, or even birthday!  This stamp set really has some awesome sentiments and fonts, you will love it!  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing using this color challenge for inspiration, we would love for you to play along with us and share what you create.
