Quick and Easy Cards using My Digital Studio and the Do Your Best Printable Download

Good morning! I have to say, what do we need to do to help slow down time, I can't believe we're already half the way through January, I still see Christmas lights up around the neighborhood. This is always a touch time of year, getting back to the school and work routine and I wanted to do something to help encourage my son, Aidan, during these days when he would pretty much rather be anywhere other than school. I've decided to start sending little random notes in his lunchbox or backpack to remind him of activities, encourage him, or just let him know we love him but I'm short on time, but My Digital Studio (MDS) to the rescue. MDS has this great download, Do Your Best Printables (Item #134922) that has 5 pages of predesigned little notes, embellishments, stamps, and punches that are perfect for the occasion. All I did was open the download and then picked the images I wanted. For some I also recolored them (I have a boy so most of the pictures with pink were immediately changed), you can also resize these so you can make them bigger or smaller to fit what you want to do (I could see making cute little tags for treats to encourage the kids during SOL testing. When I was happy with the pages I sent them off to be printed with Stampin' Up's awesome professional print services (but if your in a time crunch you can also print them on your home computer). I used the heavy cardstock so some of the images I can just cut apart, right a little note and they're good to go.
Below I have four cards I made using some of the images from the download and then embellished them with a little paper, ribbon, buttons, glitter, etc. for a little added fun. Below each picture I've listed everything I used.

Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Pacific Point
Accessories: Cherry Cobbler Chevron Ribbon, Basic Black Button, Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine, Chevron Embossing Folder, Big Shot

Cardstock: Basic Gray, Pumpkin Pie, Brushed Silver Cardstock
Accessories: Silver Shimmer Paper, 1/2" Circle Punch, 3/4" Circle Punch, Hexagon Embossing Folder, Labels Thinlit Die, Big Shot

Cardstock: Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry
Accessories: Silver Shimmer Paper, Envelope Punch Board (to make the matching envelope

Cardstock: Pacific Point, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Whisper White
Accessories: 3/4" Circle Punch, 1" Circle Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, Lattic Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Dimensionals

I hope you enjoyed today's cards and it's given you a little inspiration on what you can do using MDS in your everyday cardmaking to let those special people in your lives that you're thinking of them and think they are Fantastic.

Thanks,

Diana

Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Blog: My Digital Studio, Hybrid Projects

Good morning, I'm so excited we've made it half way through the week and we're getting closer to the start of our holiday weekend.  Today I'm sharing a couple of cards I created for today's Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration blog and today it's all about My Digital Studio.  I love all the different things you can create with this amazing software.  For these cards I used predesigned digital downloads (so easy) and had them printed out using Stampin' Up!'s professional print services and then added them to cards for fun and easy cards.  Also the chalkboard effect is very popular right now and both these cards use digital downloads with this design so all the hard work is done.

This  first card uses the To You From Me Designer Template - Digital Download  and I punched out the image with the 2 1/2" Circle Punch (I have to admit when I had this printed I cut part of the top off on the edge but I was still able to use it by using the smaller punch).  The cardbase is Smoky Slate and it's layered with a piece of Island Indigo Textured Cardstock as well as a piece of Winter Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper.  The final touch was to add a piece of Whisper White 5/8" Organza Ribbon

My second card came together just as quickly and uses the Free For You From Us Designer Template - Digital Download (this download is FREE so make sure to get yours).  For the tag after it was printed I just hand cut it out, so easy, and remember with MDS you can resize images so you could easily make the tag smaller or bigger to fit your specific project.  The cardbase of this card is Baked Brown Sugar and I added a piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock that was embossed with the Big Shot and the Stylish Strips Embossing Folder.  For an accent to this card I added a piece of Cherry Cobbler 3/4" Chevron Ribbon and an extra large Rhinestone.

I love the colors and looks of these cards, and the best part is you could easily mass produce these if you needed a large quantity of cards, tags, etc. so they are perfect for any holiday or project you have.  Remember, if you don't currently have My Digital Studio you can download a FREE 30 day trial program of the software that you can enjoy and use all you want (including printing out completed projects).

I hope you enjoyed these projects and make sure to check out what other projects the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration blog design team created, they're so great!

Happy stamping,

Diana
