Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration: Color Sketch Challenge #SSINKCC19

Happy Monday!  What an interesting weekend, after a jammed packed Saturday Mother Nature conspired to give us a more relaxing Sunday due to some more winter weather, it just won't end.  One of the things I was able to do was get a little time in the studio, which I love.  Today over on the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration blog we have a color sketch challenge and these colors were lots of fun to play with and definitely helped to brighten the day.

I started with Baked Brown Sugar for the cardbase.  For the Whisper White layer I stamped first using the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and Baked Brown Sugar and Perfect Plum ink, then I embossed it with the Big Shot and Honeycomb Embossing Folder.

I added a piece of Perfect Plum DSP from the Regals Background Designer Series Paper Stack for a great punch of color.  The birthday is from the Crazy About You stamp set and was stamped in Perfect Plum ink on Baked Brown Sugar cardstock.  I used the Big Shot and Itty Bitty Banner's Framelits to cut it out, trimmed off one side and used dimensionals to attach it to the cardfront.  The "happy " was cut out with the Big Shot and Hello You Framelits using Strawberry Slush cardstock (love this loopy font).  The final touch was to add a bow I made using some Strawberry Slush Thick Baker's Twine in the top right corner.

This card turned out bright and cheery, just what you need for birthday greetings, and it's fairly flat so mailing wouldn't be an issue.
