SSINKspiration Friday Favorites: Party Wishes

Happy Friday!  It’s been a busy week, Aidan has been enjoying the week of from school and Chris came home from his business trip last night so we’re looking forward to some quality family time this weekend (an hopefully a little stamping!!).  Today for the SSINKspiration blog we’re sharing some of our favorite items.  I fell in love with the It’s Your Party Product Suite from the Occasions Catalog (yes, everything in the suite) and we made this fun card earlier this month in card class.

I started with Mint Macaron cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Whisper White cardstock that was embossed with the Big Shot and Confetti Embossing Folder (and sponged all over the embossed parts using a sponge dauber and Mint Macaron, Melon Mambo, and Crushed Curry ink) and matted this with Basic Black cardstock before attaching it to the cardbase.  Next I took a piece of  It’s My Party Designer Series Paper and cut an oval to fit inside the embossed design using the Big Shot and Oval Collection Framelits.

For the stamped image I used the Party Wishes stamp set and stamped the greeting using Basic Black ink on Vellum Cardstock (make sure to give it a little bit of time to fully dry) and then attached the vellum to another strip of designer series paper using glue dots.  I didn’t want the glue dots to show so I used a couple of the It’s Your Party Enamel Dots to cover the glue dots.   The final step was to attach the greeting piece to the cardfront using dimensionals.

This product suite is so fun and the colors are sure to brighten anyone’s day and I love that this card has a huge WOW effect but really isn’t difficult to make.  The It’s My Party Designer Series Paper Pack is huge and has so many fun designs it’s one of my favorites of all time and  you’ll find something for anything you need, not just birthdays.

SSINKspiration Anything Friday: Party Wishes

Happy Friday!  It’s been a worldwind of craziness this week, between snow, ice, school activities, and Aidan’s birthday, just to name a few and I realized I missed sharing some stamping fun with you this week (bad Diana) so today, along with the SSINKspiration designers were sharing projects using our favorite items, anything goes (which means you get a large variety of projects to spark your inspiration).  As you’ve seen I completely fell in love with the It’s My Party product suite in the Occasions catalog (yes, I love every item in the suite, haha!!) so it’s only fitting that I shared a fun birthday card today.

I started with Mint Macaron cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Whisper White cardstock that was embossed with the Big Shot and Confetti Embossing Folder (this fold is lots of fun!).  Next I added a piece of It’s My Party Designer Series Paper and matted it with Melon Mambo cardstock.

For the main stamped image I used the Party Wishes stamp set and stamp the solid cake image using Sahara Sand ink and then used Basic Black ink for the greeting (really, this saying is awesome, and so true!!) and punched it out with the 2” Circle Punch.  I created a mat for the circle using the Big Shot and Circle Collection Framelits and Crushed Curry cardstock and attached the whole thing to the cardfront with dimensionals.  I used candle from the Party Punch Pack to punch out a candle using Melon Mambo cardstock and added some Dazzling Diamonds to the flame part of the candle.  The final touch was to add a double bow I tied using the Mint Macaron Baker’s Twine from the Baker’s Twine Combo Pack.

This product suite is so fun and the colors are sure to brighten anyone’s day and I love that there are colors that I wouldn’t have thought to use together and they work really well together.  The It’s My Party Designer Series Paper Pack is huge and has so many fun designs you’ll find something for anything you need, not just birthdays.

SSINKspiration 3D Items: Party Wishes

Happy Friday!  We’re finally getting back into the regular routines now that schools back in session we’re getting back on track.  It seems like we have a lot of birthdays in February (including Aidan’s big birthday party this weekend) so I’ve been working on a lot of birthday cards and projects so since we’re sharing 3D items over on the SSINKspiration blog it’s only fitting that today’s project is birthday themed.  I love our Kraft Tag a Bag Gift Bags since they’re the perfect foundation for all sorts of needs!

I started with a Kraft Tag a Bag Gift Bag and sponged stars on it using the Whisper White Craft Ink and Hearts and Stars Decorative Mask (make sure to let this dry completely, if you use our classic ink it would dry much faster).  Next I added a piece of It’s My Party Designer Series Paper that I cut for a flag.  Then I took a piece of a Paper Doily (only used a ¼ doily) and crumpled it to add some texture and then sponged it with Melon Mambo ink.  Then I used the Party Wishes stamp set for the greeting and stamped it in Basic Black Ink on Pistachio Pudding cardstock and attached it with dimensionals to the bag.  I used some Basic Black 3/8” Stitched Satin Ribbon and tied a knot and then attached it below the greeting with a glue dot.

The final touch was to punch two holes in the top of the bag using a handheld punch and then took two pieces of Melon Mambo baker’s twine from the Baker’s Twine Combo Pack and tied a bow at the top of the bag to keep it closed.

This gift bag is really cute and is super easy to make and doesn’t use a ton of products so you could make lots of them for all the gift occasions you have and the recipient will love it!

SSINKspiration Birthday: Party Wishes Project Life Style

Happy Friday!  I am completely in love with the great products in this year's Occasions catalog, if you've seen it you know what I mean.  One of the first things that really caught my eye and I knew I had to have were the products in the It's My Birthday suite, come on birthdays, bright colors, what's not to love?  Today over on the  SSINKspiration blog it's all about birthdays (let's be honest it's something we celebrate all year long and need to be ready for) but instead of a card I decided to change things up and show a couple of cards I made that would work perfectly for Project Life memory keeping, using these awesome birthday products.

I made a 3x4 and 4x6 card that coordinate and the great thing about doing this is that you can completely personalize your cards for the colors and occasion that suit you.

For the 3x4 card I started with a piece of Melon Mambo cardstock and stamped the Happy Birthday greeting from the Party Wishes stamp set using Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  Then I added a couple of pieces of designer series paper from the It's My Party Designer Series Paper Stack (this package has everything, and it comes in 12x12 which is awesome!  I used my Triple Banner Punch to make the flag tails and then added a bow I tied using the Baker's Twine Combo Pack for an accent.

For the 4x6 card I wanted to make it so you could either add a picture, or add journaling depending on your needs.  I started with Sahara Sand Cardstock and then added a piece of the It's My Party Designer Series Paper Stack.  For the decorative piece I used the same Party Wishes stamp set and stamped the cake in Sahara Sand ink on Whisper White cardstock and then stamped the saying (really this saying is awesome and I completely agree!!!) using the Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then cut it out using the Big Shot and Circle Collection Framelits.  I used the same framelits to cut out a mat using Crushed Curry cardstock and then attached it the card with dimensionals (I used dimensionals on the far right side only so you could slide a picture under part of the circle if you wanted when you were making your page).  For a final element I tied a knot using the Mint Macaron Lace Trim and attached it using a glue dot.

The beauty of these cards is that they are really easy to make, and if you decided you didn't want them for a Project Life page you could easily add them to a cardbase for an easy card that will still impress!  Don't forget Sale-a-bration is going on so for every $50 you spend you get an item from the SAB brochure for FREE (this is a great time to add the items from the Occasions catalog to your stamping toolbox and earn something for FREE!!!)

Occasions Catalog Sneak Peak: Party Wishes

Good afternoon!!  I'm back with a bonus project today since I'm continuing to participate in a New Catalog Countdown with SSInkspiration.   Today is the fourth day of the countdown (only one more day to go) and we have many sneak peek samples for you HERE!"

Today I'm sharing a birthday gift tag I made using products from the It's My Party Product Suite (one of my favorites in this catalog!!)

I started with a piece of Basic Black cardstock and embossed it with the Confetti Embossing Folder and Big Shot (since I added the circle elements I was able to hide the oval part of the embossing folder that doesn't emboss).  Then I used the Ornate Tag Topper Punch for the top and tied a piece of Melon Mambo/Basic Black Baker's Twine (this combo back is great!)

Next I cut a circle out of Gold Glimmer Paper using the 1 1/4" Circle Punch, and another circle using the It's My Party Designer Series Paper Stack and the 2" Circle Punch.

For the greeting I used the Party Wishes stamp set and used Stampin' Write Markers to color the image before stamping on Sahara Sand cardstock, cut it out with the Circle Collections Framelits and used the 1 3/4" Circle Punch and Mint Macaron cardstock for the mat.

This tag was super easy to pull together and you could easily take this design and elements and turn it into a card.
