30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 25

Good morning!

Thanksgiving week has arrived, I'm excited but also a little overwelmed as I have way to much still to do.  But I'm so looking forward to spending time with friends and family, it's the best!  Since it's Thanksgiving week I wanted to showcase a few more fall themed projects this week, starting with this one using the Day of Thanks stamp set.  I have to admit this set wasn't on my wish list but thankfully I have a friend who loves all things feathers so she let me borrow it!

For this card I started with Soft Suede cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock as the cardfront that has a piece of the Come to Gather Designer Series Paper in the center (this wood print is gorgeous!!)

Next I took the turkey stamp and heat embossed it in Copper Embossing Powder on Crumb Cake cardstock and matted it with Early Espresso cardstock.   The greeting was stamped in Pretty Peacock ink on Very Vanilla cardstock before being cut out with the Layering Ovals Dies, sponged around the edges with Soft Suede ink, and then attached to the cardfront with dimensionals

For a final fun touch, I stamped two of the large feathers in Early Espresso ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and fussy cut them with Paper Snips before attaching them with dimensionals and tying a bow with the 3/16" Braided Linen Trim to finish it off.

The detail in the images in this stamp set are beautiful, you have to see them up close and this turkey is an elegant way to send Thanksgiving wishes.

30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 18

Good morning!

So it is hard to believe that Thanksgiving is a little over a week, I mentioned it to Chris and he was shocked!  Before Thanksgiving arrives I knew I wanted to have a little fun with the Thanksgiving turkey in the Birds of a Feather stamp set so today seems like the perfect day for today's gratitude card.

I started with Cajun Craze cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Early Espresso cardstock as a mat for the Come to Gather Designer Series Paper.   I took another pattern from this pack and matted it with Pretty Peacock cardstock as a belly band for the card.

For the main stamped image I stamped the turkey in Momento Black in on Whisper White and then used my Stampin' Blends to color it in before cutting it out with the Stitched Rectangle dies and matting it with Mint Macaron cardstock.  I used dimensionals to attach both the turkey and the greeting to the card and finished it off with a double bow tied with Linen Tread.

This turkey is definitely too cute to eat and I would enjoy spending the holiday with him, haha!

30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 14

Good afternoon!

I had so much fun earlier this week with the Country Home set I decided to make a different version for today's gratitude card.

I started with Gray Granite cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock that was embossed with the Subtle Embossing folder for the cardfront and then added a strip of DSP from the Come to Gather Designer Series paper (love the linen texture in this paper!)

The main stamped was stamped on Whisper White cardstock with Momento Black ink so it could be colored in with my Stampin' Blends and then I cut it out with the Stitched Nested Labels Dies.

The greeting is on Mint Macaron cardstock and stamped with Blackberry Bliss ink before being cut out with the Layering Circles Dies and then attached to the card with dimensionals.  To dress this card  up I added a few enamel dots from the 2019-2021 In Color Faceted Dots and Nobel Peacock Rhinestone packs.

I love the soft colors in this card, just peaceful and calming which is perfect this time of year!

30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 12

Good morning!

One of the things I enjoy about fall, is the change over in flowers and all the leaves and fall foliage that we only get to enjoy for a few short weeks each year.  For today's gratitude card I decided to channel that fall beauty on today's card using the Country Home stamp set.

I started with Cajun Craze cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Basic Black cardstock as a mat for the Come to Gather Designer Series Paper (love the gingham prints!)

For the stamped image I stamped the pitcher and flowers individually (the beauty of photopolymer stamp sets is perfect placement!) using Momento Black ink on Whisper White cardstock before coloring it in with my Stampin' Blends.  Here's a little tip:  if you want to remove a little color from an image to lighten an area up (like the center of the pitcher) use your Color Lifter Pen and lightly color until you achieve the look your going for.

The greeting for this card was stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink on Mint Macaron cardstock and then both pieces were cut out with the Layering Ovals dies before being attached to the card.  The final touch, a double bow tied with Linen Thread.

This flower arrange is a perfect fall accent piece for anyone's home, no matter on a card or in real life!
