Paper Craft Crew Weekly Challenge #594: Potions and Spells

Good morning,

It's hard to believe it's almost the end of October and tomorrow is Halloween.  I used the upcoming holiday as inspiration for this weeks Paper Craft Crew challenge, CASE the Catalog with a Twist.  I used the "Celebrate" card on page 28 of the 2024 Holiday catalog as inspiration for today's card using the Potions and Spells bundle.

I started with Pumpkin Pie cardstock for the cardbase and then added a Basic Black cardfront that was embossed with the Dotted Circles 3D Embossing folder.  Next, I added two different pieces of designer series paper from the Halloween Spells DSP pack.

For the main image I started by stamping the cauldron on Basic Grey cardstock using Momento Black ink.  I then stamped the "double, double, toil & trouble" in Versamark ink and then embossed it with the Heat Tool and Black Embossing Powder before cutting it out with the coordinating dies.

I used the same dies to cut out the "ooze" using the Highland Heather Glimmer Paper from the Three Color Glimmer Pack.  Then I stamped the bubbles for the top of the cauldron on Basic White cardstock, colored it in with Stampin' Blends before fussy cutting and tucked it inside the cauldron.

The final touch was to add the Happy Halloween greeting that was stamped in Pumpkin Pie ink on Basic White cardstock.

This card is so fun, I love it to send Halloween greetings.  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing for inspiration and we would love for you to play along and share what you create.

Paper Craft Crew Inspiration Challenge #593: Autumn Expressions

Good morning,

The leaves changing color and falls arrival are the inspiration for this weeks Paper Craft Crew inspiration challenge.  The Splendid Autumn Designer Series paper is perfect for all your fall projects and I love it!

This card uses Mossy Meadow cardstock and then I used Cajun Craze cardstock as the mat for the DSP (it's so beautiful I had to let it be the star of the card).

The stamped image is from the Autumn Expressions stamp set and was stamped in Cajun Craze ink on Very Vanilla cardstock.  I used the woodgrain stamp to stamp the background using Crumb Cake ink and stamped off once to make the image lighter.  Once I was finished stamping I cut the piece out using the Deckled Circles dies and then attached it to the cardfront using dimensionals.

To finish off the card, I added a bow out of Wild Wheat 3/8" Rustic Striped Ribbon and then added a few Faux Glass Dots as an accent.

This card turned out just lovely and perfect for this time of year and letting someone know how much you appreciate them.  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing for inspiration and we would love for you to share what you create using this challenge.

Paper Craft Crew Challenge #591: Peaceful Season

Good morning,

I know we're in the height of fall and all the fun that goes along with it but as soon as I saw the challenge for this weeks Paper Craft Crew challenge I knew I needed to pivot and embrace a little Christmas.  A popular thing at the holidays is gift giving and especially gift cards so I decided to used the Scalloped Gift Card Boxes for a pretty gift packaging.

After assembling the box (which was super easy) I wrapped a piece of the Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper and then wrapped some Shaded Spruce 1/2" Satin & Sheer Ribbon (this stuff is stunning!) and tied a bow.

For the gift tag I used the Peaceful Season stamp set and coordinating dies.  I stamped in Versamark on Cherry Cobbler Cardstock and then heat embossed it using the heat tool and Gold Embossing Powder.  Once it was cool I used the Peaceful Season dies to cut it out and then tied it around the ribbon using Linen Thread.

I love everything about how this turned out and even if you didn't want to make a gift card holder gift wrapping is super easy and beautiful.  Make sure to check out the other projects the design team is sharing and we would love to see what you create using this theme.
