2019 Eichfeld Christmas Card Reveal!

Good afternoon!

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and enjoying time with friends and family.  We've been having a nice and relaxing getaway, just what we needed.  I've been waiting to share our family Christmas card for the year until the majority of people have received them.  As most people know I love my bling and shine so when I saw the new Delicata Copper Metallic Ink I knew it would be perfect for our Christmas card.

I used Soft Suede cardstock for the cardbase and then added a Pool Party cardfront which I stamped with the Birch stamp set using Pool Party Ink.  Next I stamped the small stars from the So Many Stars stamp set using the Copper Ink and then sponged around the edge with Dapper Denim Ink.

For the frame around our family picture I used the Heirloom Frames Dies and Embossing Folders along with Dapper Denim cardstock and after cutting them out and embossing them I sponged the frame with the Copper Ink.

To finish off the card I stamped a couple ornaments using the Brightly Gleaming stamp set and coordinating Ornament Punches using Mossy Meadow and Pool Party cardstock.  The greeting is from the Greatest Part of Christmas Hostess stamp set and was stamped in Soft Suede ink on Very Vanilla cardstock and then punched it out with the Storybook Label Punch and attached it with dimensionals.

I absolutely love how this card turned out even though it was definitely time consuming to make given all the steps, but the end result was worth it and I hope everyone who received it enjoyed it.

Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge #PCC363: Cheers to That

Good morning!

Can you believe Christmas is one week away?  I really am working on wrapping up the last of the Christmas projects, although honestly I seem to be constantly adding more, and starting to think about what's next.  For this weeks Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge I decided to do a fun New Years card, which is perfect since we're going to a friends to ring in the new year so I'll need a card for the occasion.

I started with Crumb Cake cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Night of Navy cardstock as a mat for the Cherry Cobbler cardfront.  On the card front I added the brick pattern by coloring some Embossing Paste with Crumb Cake Reinker and then using the Palette Knives and Pattern Party Decorative Masks to create this fun effect.

Next I added a piece of Wrapped in Plaid Speciality Designer Series Paper as well as an oval cut out of Gold Foil using the Layering Ovals Dies (honestly I have a stack of these gold ovals on my desk from another project I was working on so this works perfectly!)

The greeting is from the Cheers to That stamp set and was stamped in Night of Navy and Cherry Cobbler ink on Whisper White cardstock before cutting it out with the same dies and attaching it to the cardfront with dimensionals.  To finish off the card I added some Rhinestones and then a fun star cut from the same Gold Foil and the Stitched Stars dies (I used a Mini Dimensional in the center of the star to add a little extra dimension).

Paper Craft Crew Inspiration Challenge Challenge #PCC361: Most Wonderful Time

Good morning!

I'm back today with a beautiful card that shows off the Most Wonderful Time Product Medley using this weeks Paper Craft Crew Inspiration Challenge.  I love the rustic colors and textures this inspiration picture has and knew instantly this product suite would be perfect.

I started with Old Olive cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Early Espresso cardstock as a mat for the cardfront which is white with gold stars (you get a whole pack of these white and gold cardfronts in the kit).  Next I took a piece of Early Espresso cardstock and embossed it with the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder for some texture.


Next I used the Stitched Nested Labels dies to cut out a piece of the tree DSP (which also has gold accents).  The greeting is from the stamp set included in the kit and was stamped in Early Espresso ink on Old Olive cardstock before being cut out with the Stitched Shapes dies and attached to the cardfront with dimensionals.  The final touch on the card is a bow tied with Gold 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon that was colored with the Soft Suede Dark Stampin' Blends Marker.

30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 30

Good morning!

How is it possible that we've reached the end of November?  This year is flying in overdrive and I know now that the holiday season is in full swing it's only going to get crazier.  We're enjoying our last day of vacation and getting ready to head home (and hopefully avoid some of the holiday traffic!)  Of course I have one last gratitude card to share with you and I had to make it Christmasy since I will need lots of these over the coming month and I also wanted something quick and easy.

This card has Crumb Cake cardstock for the cardbase and then used Mossy Meadow cardstock as the mat for the cardfront which is a piece of Night Before Christmas Designer Series Paper that I embossed with the Subtle Dynamic Embossing folder for a little extra texture.  I added another piece of the DSP along the left side which was matted with Crushed Curry cardstock.

For the greeting I used the Tropical Chic stamp set (which I know I used earlier this week but it has 2 gratitude sentiments so thought I would sow them both off) which was stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on Very Vanilla cardstock before being cut out with the Ornate Frames Dies, sponged with Cherry Cobbler ink, and attached to the cardfront with dimensionals.  The final touch is a bow tied with Night of Navy/Sahara Sand Baker's Twine.

I like the fun, retro colors and patterns in this DSP, a great way to change things up.  I hope you've enjoyed following along in this years gratitude challenge and maybe you'll think of joining me next year!
