30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 30

Good morning!

How is it possible that we've reached the end of November?  This year is flying in overdrive and I know now that the holiday season is in full swing it's only going to get crazier.  We're enjoying our last day of vacation and getting ready to head home (and hopefully avoid some of the holiday traffic!)  Of course I have one last gratitude card to share with you and I had to make it Christmasy since I will need lots of these over the coming month and I also wanted something quick and easy.

This card has Crumb Cake cardstock for the cardbase and then used Mossy Meadow cardstock as the mat for the cardfront which is a piece of Night Before Christmas Designer Series Paper that I embossed with the Subtle Dynamic Embossing folder for a little extra texture.  I added another piece of the DSP along the left side which was matted with Crushed Curry cardstock.

For the greeting I used the Tropical Chic stamp set (which I know I used earlier this week but it has 2 gratitude sentiments so thought I would sow them both off) which was stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on Very Vanilla cardstock before being cut out with the Ornate Frames Dies, sponged with Cherry Cobbler ink, and attached to the cardfront with dimensionals.  The final touch is a bow tied with Night of Navy/Sahara Sand Baker's Twine.

I like the fun, retro colors and patterns in this DSP, a great way to change things up.  I hope you've enjoyed following along in this years gratitude challenge and maybe you'll think of joining me next year!

Fab Friday Sketch Challenge #FabFri177: Tropical Chic (30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 29)

Good morning!

Hopefully you have survived all the Thanksgiving fun and carb coma and are now relaxing (or maybe shopping!)  I was out last night and early this morning working helping cross those items off the Christmas gift list and plan on spending the day relaxing.  We have just a couple more days left in the month and a couple more cards in this years gratitude challenge.  Today I decided to play along with the Fab Friday sketch challenge for this pretty all occasion card.

I started with Crumb Cake cardstock for the cardbase and then used Night of Navy cardstock to mat a piece of Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper.

For the greeting I used the Tropical Chic stamp set and stamped in Night of Navy ink on Daffodil Delight cardstock before fussy cutting it out with Paper Snips and attaching it with Mini Dimensionals.  As a final element on the card I took a piece of Gold 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon and colored it with a Rococo Rose Dark Stampin' Blends Marker and then tied a bow with the twine from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack.

I can't get over how beautiful this DSP is, very realistic and the burlap background add some additional texture.

30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 28

Happy Thanksgiving!

Looking forward to a wonderful day with friends and family, with lots of relaxing, which is perfection.  For today's gratitude card I thought it was only fitting to share the cards I made for our family and friends for Thanksgiving.  The August 2019 Gift of Fall Paper Pumpkin kit was so beautiful I knew I would use it for Thanksgiving so I bought the add-on kit which provided 24 pre-printed cardbases and envelopes and used the elements from the main Paper Pumpkin kit to make these cards (plus more, and have lots of supplies left).  There are several different layers and textures on each card which really help dress them up and saved me a lot of work, which is really appreciated!

I love how these turned out and hope our family does as well.

Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge #PCC360: Day of Thanks (30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 27)

Good morning!

So excited that our Thanksgiving vacation has officially started, just wrapping up a few things this morning before we hit the road.  Today I'm using the Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge for another fun Thanksgiving card using the Day of Thanks stamp set.

This card uses Mint Macaron cardstock for the cardbase and then Rich Razzleberry cardstock as mat for the Crumb Cake cardfront.  To make the cardfront I started by embossing the cardstock with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder and then took a sponge dauber and the Celestial Copper Delicata Metallic Ink and lightly rubbed the ink over the cardfront to highlight the embossing and create the look of extra texture.

Next I added a piece of Come to Gather Designer Series Paper that was matted with Pretty Peacock cardstock.  I used that same turkey image from Monday and this time he's stamped in Early Espresso ink on Mint Macaron cardstock and matted with Rich Razzleberry.  Behind the turkey piece I added a small leaf (which is Early Espresso and cut out with the Gathered Leaves Dies) peaking out.

To finish off the card I added some Pearls that I colored with a Copper Sharpie Marker.  The greeting was stamped in Rich Razzleberry on Very Vanilla cardstock and then I fussy cut around it with my Paper Snips and sponged around the edges with Early Espresso ink before attaching it with Mini Dimensionals.

Adding the Mint Macaron to this card makes it a little more playful and I like fussy cutting greetings like this when they are large so they don't monopolize the card as it might if it was straight edges.

30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 26

Good morning!

One can not live on one theme of card alone, haha! so I'm changing things up today from our fall cards to a beautiful Christmas card that uses products from the Toile Tidings Product Suite.

I started with Very Vanilla Thick cardstock for the cardbase and then cut two pieces of DSP from the Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper and attached them to a Real Red base to create the cardfront.  Next I wrapped a piece of Real Red 1" Ruched Ribbon around the cardfront to hide the seam.

The greeting is from the Stitched All Around stamp set in the Annual catalog and was stamped in Real Red ink on Very Vanilla Cardstock before being punched out with a Circle Punch before being matted with a circle element cut with the coordinating Stitched Labels Dies and Garden Green cardstock.  I used dimensionals on both layers of the circle greeting for a little extra height and finished off the card with some Real Red Glitter Enamel Dots from the Toile Tidings Glitter Enamel Dots package.

This DSP is so beautiful, I've been hesitant to cut into it but there's no point in having it if we don't use it, right?  One can only have so much craft supplies so why not enjoy them so then you can get more, haha! (not a sentiment my hubby probably appreciates!!)
