Paper Craft Crew Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge #PCC331: Hello Cupcake

Good morning!  It's my birthday week so the salute to birthday treats continues, today I used thePaper Craft Crew Tic-Tac-Toe challenge to make this yummy (and calorie free card) as a perfect farewell to Sale-a-bration!  I decided to go across in the center with this card using Metallic, Monochromatic, and Stitched Rectangular Dies (quickly becoming a new favorite!)

I started with Whisper White Thick cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Call Me Clover cardstock that was embossed with the Big Shot and Subtles Dynanic Embossing Folder before adding a piece of Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper that I cut out with the Stitched Rectangular Framelits (I ran it through the Big Shot twice to get the stitching on all for sides given the size of my DSP.

For the main stamped image I used the Hello Cupcake stamp set and stamped the cupcake base in Smoky Slate ink on Whisper White cardstock.  I stamped the frosting for the cupcake also on Whisper White using Call Me Clover ink (full strength for one layer and stamped off once for the lighter layer) and then cut them out with the Big Shot and Call Me Cupcakes Framelits.  I used the same stamp set and framelits to cut out the little cupcake pick as well and then used the Stitched Rectangular Framelits to edge the cardstock before matting it with Champagne Foil Paper.

To finish off the card I used a greeting from the More than Words stamp set and after cutting it out with the same framelits sponged around the edge and attached it with dimensionals.  A few Metallic Rhinestones are the perfect sprinkles to finish off the card!

I know this card has all the things that would help me celebrate my special day!  Make sure to check out the other design team cards for inspiration and we would love for you to play along with us and share what you create!

Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge 303: Snow is Glistening

Good morning!  I think we can safely say the holidays have arrived (I've already started my Black Friday shopping, love online ordering, haha!) so it's perfect fitting for this weeks inspiration challenge over on the
Hand Stamped Sentiments blog.  I love this inspiration challenge as there are lots of colors and images that you can pick from, of course I decided to go with snow and use the products from the Catch a Snowflake Promotion (we only have a week and a half to purchase these items).

I started with Balmy Blue cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Blueberry Bushel cardstock as a mat for the Whisper White cardfront.  On the cardfront I spritzed it with water and then added some blue Brusho Crystal Color and then spritzed again until I got the color saturation I was looking for.  Once the cardstock was dry I used the Snow is Glistening stamp set and stamped the smallest snowflakes around the edges of the brusho using Balmy Blue ink.

Next I used the Snowfall Thinlits and the Big Shot to cut some snowflakes out of Silver Glimmer Paper and used Vellum Cardstock for the large swirly die (a little hard to see in the picture).

The greeting is from the same stamp set and was stamped in Blueberry Bushel ink on Balmy Blue cardstock and then cut out with the Big Shot and Stitched Shapes Framelits.  I used dimensionals to attach the greeting and then added a few rhinestones on the bottom for a final frosty bling.

This card is perfect to get you in the holiday spirit (if your not already) and come on glitter and rhinestones, it's my version of perfection!  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing and we would love for you to play along with us and share your creation.

SSINKspiration Color Sketch #SSINKCC53: All Things Thanks

Happy Labor Day!  I hope you are enjoying the holiday with family and friends as we officially say farewell to summer (how is that possible?)  Today the SSINKspiration team has a fun new color challenge and this is a great combo.  I'm also having some fun mixing in a few sneak peak items from the upcoming Holiday catalog, which will be released on Wednesday (whoo hoo!)

I started with Smoky Slate cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Poppy Parade cardstock as a mat for the cardfront.  The cardfront is Bermuda Bay cardstock that was embossed with the Big Shot and Subtle Dynamic Embossing Folder.  Next I added a belly band using Poppy Parade Designer Series Paper from the Brights Designer Series Paper stack that was matted with Pineapple Punch cardstock.

For the stamped image I used the All Things Thanks stamp set (one of my classic favorites!) and stamped in Poppy Parade ink on Whisper White cardstock before cutting it out with the Big Shot and Layering Circles Framelits (I also sponged around the edges of the circle with Bermuda Bay ink).  I cut a black circle out of using the 2" Circle Punch and then used the same framelits set to cut a circle out of Pineapple Punch cardstock.

To dress up the card I cut a circle out of the new Galvanized Metallic Sheets (holiday catalog) using the Big Shot and Stitched Shapes Framelits and then embossed it with the Tin Tile Dynamic Embossing Folder (this folder is awesome and you'll want to make sure to add it to your first order).  To help distress it I rubbed some Basic Black ink on the embossing and then wiped it clean with the paper towel.  I used dimensionals to attach the greeting circle to the cardfront and then added a double bow tied with Whisper White Baker's Twine as the final touch.

These colors give me a retro feel and I think the addition of the tin tile accent helps with that retro feel on the card, in a fun way.  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing and we would love for you to play along and share what you create using these colors.

Hand Stamped Sentiment Color Challenge #296: Blended Seasons

Good morning!  I'm back today and sharing another card using the Blended Seasons bundle and since we've had so much dark, rainy weather this weeks
Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge is perfect to make something bright and cheery.

I used Daffodil Delight cardstock for the cardbase and then used Granny Apple Green cardstock for the cardfront which was embossed with the Big Shot and Simple Stripes Embossing Folder.  Next I added a piece of Blueberry Bushel Designer Series Paper from the In Color 2018-2020 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Stack.

I used the medium label die from the Stitched Seasons Framelits to cut the label out of Whisper White cardstock.  I used pieces from the same framelits set to cut the leaves and swirls out.  I used the Blended Seasons stamp set and stamped one of the flowers in Momento Black ink and then colored the flower with Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends as well as the Blueberry Bushel Stampin' Write Marker before cutting the flower out with Paper Snips (I did use dimensionals to attach the flower).

Before attaching the die cut piece to the cardfront I stamped the greeting in Basic Black ink and then finished off the card with a bow tied from Whisper White 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon.

This bundle is jammed packed with stamps and dies to really help dress up any project you have without taking a lot of extra effort and this card is one that is sure to put a smile on anyone's face and isn't that why we send cards?  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing and we would love for you to play along with use and share what you create using this color combination.
