Good
morning! We’re fully enjoying all the
joys of spring this week with spring break from school, vacation, and final
preparations for Easter. With all the
signs of spring around us for this months
blog hop with the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration designers we decided to
showcase all things spring in our projects.
As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop number #1 on the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Blog Hop - Cathy A. @ Maine Mountain Stamper. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.
As
soon as I saw the Basket Bunch stamp
set and coordinating framelits I instantly fell in love and new they would be
perfect for lots of spring crafting (not just Easter). Today I’m sharing two coordinating projects
using this bundle. I started with Crumb
Cake cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Soft Suede cardstock
as a mat for my Whisper White cardfront.
On the cardfront I used the Gorgeous
Grunge stamp set (I was devastated to see this set on the retiring list,
boo!) and stamp the different splatter using Crumb Cake and Soft Suede ink as
well as adding a couple of Peekaboo Peach Enamel Dots from the In Color Enamel Shapes set.
Next
I took a piece of Cucumber Crush Designer Series Paper from the 2015-2017 In Color Designer Series Paper
Stack (retiring) and punched out a circle using the 2” Circle Punch. I used a
piece of Peekaboo Peach 3/8” Ruched
Ribbon that was attached with some Fast
Fuse Adhesive so I could ruffle it up.
The greeting is from the Teeny
Tiny Wishes stamp set and was stamped in Soft Suede ink and then attached
with dimensionals.
Now
it was time to add the spring elements. I
used the Basket Builder Framelits to
cut out the two pieces of the basket from Crumb Cake and Soft Suede cardstock
(love the layered look of this basket) and then the cute bunny was stamped with
Basic Black ink and colored with Watercolor
Pencils and a blender pen. For the carrots I used Stampin’ Write Markers in Pumpkin Pie and Cucumber Crush to color
directly on the stamp and then used a Peekaboo Peach Stampin’ Write Marker to
color the carrot in before cutting it out with framelits. The final touch to the card was to attach a
bow that was tied out of Linen Thread,
asking to a rustic look to the basket.
For
the coordinating treat I used all the same products with the addition of the
Stitched Shapes Framelits as the tag base and the Tiny Clear Box (which holds
some yummy carrot shaped and wrapped chocolates which were the inspiration for
both these projects).
I love
how bright and cheery these colors are that really pop off the neutrals and
certainly remind me of spring. This
project also uses two In Colors (from different release years and yet they work
well together), Cucumber Crush which is retiring, and Peekaboo Peach so make
sure to stock up!
