SSINKspiration Winter Wonderland: Beautiful Blizzard

Good afternoon!  It's certainly feeling like the holidays now that our decorations are up but we're having unseasonably warm weather, which I'm taking advantage of since I know it's only for a couple of days.  Today the SSINKspiration team is sharing projects with a Winter Wonderland feeling and what's more perfect than a little snow storm?  (and there's talk we may get some snow this weekend, we shall see!)

This card is really simple and uses the Beautiful Blizzard bundle to create the stamped cardfront using Smoky Slate, Mint Macaron, and Night of Navy colors and I just built the background layering lots of stamps on Whisper White cardstock.  The cardbase is Smoky Slate and Mint Macaron was used for the greeting piece.  To finish off the card I added a couple little die cut snowflakes accented with Silver Metallic Pearls as the finishing touch.

SSINKspiration Gift Packaging: Beautiful Blizzard

Good afternoon!  While we're all working on getting ready for Thanksgiving we will be in full Christmas gear soon (if you're not already) and one of the things we all need is gift packaging.  Today on the SSINKspiration blog we're sharing gift packaging ideas perfect for the holidays.  Today I'm sharing a cute gable box that is one of the projects at this years Holiday Gift Packaging and Tags Class.

For this project I used the Silver Mini Gable Boxes and then used the Beautiful Blizzard stamp set to stamp the background panel (on Balmy Blue cardstock) as well as the greeting (stamped on Whisper White cardstock with Night of Navy and Balmy Blue ink) and then cut the greeting out with the Big Shot and Layering Circles Framelits. 

I used the coordinating Blizzard Thinlits die to cut out the small snowflake using Silver Glimmer Paper and the final touch was to tie a bow using Silver 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon (this is one of my favorite ribbons either by itself of coloring it using Stampin' Blends to create whatever color ribbon you need for a project).

This is a quick box that is perfect for all sorts of gifts and is sure to delight the recipient!  I'm thinking this will be perfect for a teacher gift (and yes gift cards will fit in the box) and of course jewelry will fit (just giving hubby a hint, haha!)

Sending Buffalo Check Blizzard Christmas Greetings!

Good morning!  I'm sharing another card today that uses my featured Product of the Week, the Buffalo Check stamp set and I decided to change things up and go for a cool winter time feeling with this card (even though I'm hoping it's quite a while before we start seeing snowflakes around here, haha!).

On this card I used Whisper White Thick cardstock for the cardbase and then added Night of Navy cardstock as the mat for the cardfront that's Balmy Blue.  On the cardfront I started by stamping with Balmy Blue ink and the Buffalo Check stamp set.  I wanted to dress the background up so I used the Beautiful Blizzard stamp set and stamped snowflakes all over the background using Night of Navy ink.  Night of Navy 1/2" Gingham Ribbon was wrapped around the cardfront and tied a knot.

There are some fun and unique greetings in this stamp set and I stamped in Night of Navy and then added the swirly on the bottom with Balmy Blue.  The Big Shot and Layering Ovals framelits were used to cut out the greeting so I could attach it to the cardfront with dimensionals.

To finish off the card I added a large rhinestone in the center of the swirls and then cut a small snowflake out of Silver Foil using the Big Shot and Seasonal Layers Thinlits.

This card has lots of fun patterns and textures and definitely puts you in the holiday mood.  And I love the unique look of the background with the checks and snowflakes.
