SSINKspiration Favorite Holiday DSP: Spooky Nights

Good morning!  There are sights and sounds of the approach of fall everywhere (and of course pumpkin spice explosion!!) so I'm fully embracing the feeling of fall in my upcoming projects.  Today the  SSINKspiration designers are sharing their favorite designer series paper from the Holiday catalog and I decided to show off this fun Halloween card using the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper.  A unique feature of this paper is that the cat images in the DSP are perfectly sized to fit the new cat punch and the tree and moon image I used on this card fits perfectly with the owl in the coordinating Stamp Set, Spooky Cat, so it's lots of fun and easy to use.

I started with Very Vanilla Thick cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Cajun Craze cardstock and stamped the greeting using Basic Black Ink.  To this cardfront I added a strip of DSP and then cut the scalloped trim using Pumpkin Pie cardstock, the Big Shot, and Seasonal Layers Thinlits.

Next I cut a square of the DSP and stamped the Owl using Basic Gray ink and added some Black Rhinestones (love these!)  I matted the piece with Basic Black cardstock and used dimensionals to attached the piece to the cardfront.  The final touch was to add a piece of  Vintage Crochet Trim and treaded it behind the stamped piece and wrapped it around the cardfront so it is at an angle.

With the scene already created on the DSP this card is really easy to put together and the Cajun Craze adds a little vintage feel to the card, so fun!

Below are easy ordering links for the product's used on today's card:

  1. I love the way the scene is already created on that square of DSP! The scallops & ribbon & black dots are really great additions!
