5 Days of Halloween/ Fall Treats: Day 5

Happy Friday!  It's been a great weekend and I've had so much fun sharing with you lots of treats for the season.  Today is the last day of my 5 Days of Halloween/Fall treats and I decided to combine this with the SSINKspiration blog Friday Favorites post to share this mason jar treat that all started with these PB Chocolate "eyeballs" I found in the bulk section of my local grocery store (they are delish!!) 

After filling up the jar I started by wrapping a piece of Halloween Night Speciality Designer Series Paper around the jar (did you know that two pieces in this pack of paper have silver foil accents, they are awesome!)  Next I cut a circle out of another pattern of the paper and glued it to the top of the jar lid.  As accents on each of the DSP pieces I used the Halloween Scenes Edgelits and the Big Shot to cut a bat out of Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper and the witch using Basic Black Glimmer Paper (I know it's retired but you could easily use the Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper for both pieces).  The cutouts were attached to the jar using dimensionals so they pop up.

Now it's time for the tag an it's awesome!  I started with the Jar of Haunts stamp set and stamped the jar image and floating eyeballs (perfect match for this candy) and then cut it out with the Big Shot and Everyday Jars framelits (my Friday Favorite item).  I embossed the jar lid for the tag using the Heat Tool and Silver Embossing Folder.  After coloring in the eyes and spooky water I using some Crystal Effects (from my retired stash) and let it dry so the water is glossy and looks more realistic.  The greeting is from the same stamp set and was stamped in Pumpkin Pie ink.






I have to admit, I had so much fun making this treat and I definitely did the giddy stamper dance when I was done.  All of this years Halloween products work so well together and really make cards, gifts, and any project you have in mind fun, easy, and perfectly haunting, love them all!!

5 Days of Halloween/ Fall Treats: Day 4

Good morning and welcome back to Day 4 of my 5 Days of Halloween/Fall treats.  Today I'm changing things up since we can't always live on sweets (or so my hubby tells me) and I'm sharing some cute packaging I made for gifts Aidan's giving his teachers this year (I know teachers frequently get inundated with candy and treats so we like to sometimes switch things up and who doesn't use handsoap?    We also do fall scented antibacterial handsoap so teachers can use it the entire season.  Now I do have to give a word for warning, I did use some retired product on this item but you could easily which it out for current, similar items, and one of the ribbons is actually on the clearance rack so if you really wanted it you could grab it at a great deal now!  Honestly Aidan has lots of teachers and staff he likes to give gifts so I use up some of my retired stash (admit it we all have it!!) and I stock up on the soaps during clearance sales to make this a pretty affordable gift, even in mulitples.

So I started by using a cello bag (the one's on the clearance rack are the perfect size) and I tied a piece of Tangelo Twist Striped Cotton Ribbon (it's on the clearance rack).  For the tag I used the Big Shot and Cheerful Tags Framelits to cut the drink tag and only used half of the tag in this case.  I used some Halloween Night Washi Tape and the Spooky Fun stamp set and coordinating edgelits (love that these are a bundle) to decorate the tag.  I did use some of the retired Black Glimmer Paper but you could easily use some Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper or the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and color it black for a fun effect.

This gift was fun and you could easily swap out some cookies in the cello bag instead of the handsoap for a tasty treat!

5 Days of Halloween/ Fall Treats: Day 3

Happy Wednesday!  It's the midpoint of the week which means we're also on Day 3 of my 5 Days of Halloween/Fall Treats.  Today I'm back with another project using the cute purple blackberry candy corns I worked with on Monday. 

For this project I wanted to use up the rest of candy corns I bought (if they're in a package I can't eat them which is sometimes a good thing to help with willpower, haha!) so I started with the Gusseted Cello Bags (the one's the Annual Catalog) and they hold so much so it was easy to fill up).  I made a topper using some Elegant Eggplant cardstock that I folded in half and attached with the Handheld Stapler (note about the stapler, Stampin' Up! announced last week that they are discontinuing the stapler and the coordinating staples so if this is something that has been on your wish list order it soon, it's only available while supplies last and when they're gone they are gone, (I stocked up on staples already)).

For the tag label I used the Halloween Treat single wood stamp (it's much bigger than I was picturing and fit this project perfectly.  I colored the image with Stampin' Write Markers before stamping on Whisper White cardstock and then used my Paper Snips to cut the label out and then attached it with Fast Fuse Adhesive.  The final touch was to tie a double bow using the Basic Gray Baker's Twine from the Halloween Night Baker's Twine set and attached it with a glue dot.

This treat was super easy to make and you could easily modify it for another holiday by just changing the stamp set (we have some great Christmas stamps that are designed as tags with coordinating framelits that would be perfect!)

5 Days of Halloween/ Fall Treats: Day 2

Good morning and welcome back to day 2 of my 5 day's of Halloween/Fall treats.  I decided to go with a fall theme today and it all started when I saw the Booterscotch (Butterscotch) white chocolate M&Ms at the store and had to try them.  They're pretty tasty but very sweet so just a couple are enough (ensures I don't eat too many which is good!)  I had this glass jar in my studio from a previous project and thought it would be perfect to repurpose.

After cleaning and filling the jar I added a piece of designer series paper from the Petals and Paisleys Speciality Designer Series Paper that I cut into a circle to decorate the top.  I then cut a strip of DSP from the same package and matted it with Mint Macaron cardstock and wrapped it around the jar.

Next I used the Cookie Cutter Halloween stamp set and stamped this cute little scarecrow image and after coloring it in with Stampin' Write Markers I punched it out with the coordinating Cookie Cutter Builder Punch and attached it to the jar with dimensionals.  The final touch was to add a piece of Delightful Dijon ribbon from the 3/8" Ribbon Trio Pack for a little flair.

I definitely did a little happy dance after finishing this treat, it's so cute.  Also, I love how quick and easy make cute treats can be so you can really impress without spending lots of time and money!!

5 Days of Halloween/ Fall Treats: Day 1

Happy Monday!  I was able to have a wonderful weekend filled with baseball, running, stamping, and family, practically perfection!  I've been working on lots of Halloween treats for family and friends so while I get these ready to get in the mail to arrive before Halloween I decided to let this week be 5 Days of Halloween/Fall Treats and will be sharing a different one with you each day.  Today's treat was inspired by some blackberry candy corns I found in the bulk buy section of Wegman's (this purple candy is a perfect fun twist for Halloween).

I started with Elegant Eggplant cardstock and then added a piece of designer series paper from the Halloween Night Speciality Designer Series Paper.  I used the 2"x8" cello bags to hold the candy so you can see it in all it's fun.  I used the Project Life Corner Rounder Punch to punch all the corners for rounded edges.

The tag uses Whisper White cardstock and I stamped the spiderwebs from the Spooky Fun stamp set using Basic Black ink and the Happy Halloween greeting is from the same stamp set and was stamped in Elegant Eggplant ink.  The final touch there was to add a strip of Rhinestones for a little bling!  I used fast fuse adhesive to attach the cello bag to the cardstock.

I'm really loving all the cookie cutter images in the Holiday catalog (both Cookie Cutter Halloween and the coordinating Christmas set since they both work with the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch).  I stamped the mummy image using the Cookie Cutter Halloween stamp set on Whisper White cardstock using Basic Black ink and then punched it out with the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch and attached it to the treats with fast fuse adhesive.

This treat was super easy to make and you can fill this size cello bag with lots of different treats, both candy and non-candy.
