Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge #548 - Cheers to the Season

Good morning!

I hope things are going well for you during this holiday season.  I'm taking a break from all my festive activities to play along with this weeks Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge it's a nice and simple one, perfect to add your own touch.

For this card I started with a cardbase of Whisper White Thick cardstock before matting a piece of Joy of Christmas Designer Series Paper and matting it with Early Espresso cardstock before attaching it to the cardbase.  I took another coordinating piece of DSP (you know how I love my plaid) and matted it also with Early Espresso cardstock and attaching it across the center of the card.

The stamped image is from the Cheers to the Season stamp set and is one of the fun Disinkive stamps with lots of texture and dimension built into the stamp.  It was stamped in Real Red ink on Basic White cardstock before cutting it out with the Layering Circles Dies.  I used the same dies to cut out the scalloped circle mat out of Garden Green cardstock before attaching the whole piece to the cardfront with dimensionals.

To finish off the card I added a simple bow tied with the Gold & Very Vanilla 3/8" Satin Edge Ribbon.

This card just screams festive greetings, I love it.  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing for inspiration and we would love for you to play along and share what you create with this sketch.

30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 20

Good morning!

It's Thanksgiving week and I'm so excited we get to see Aidan in just a couple of days as well as spend some quality time with friends who are family.  I decided to embrace the fall feelings for today's gratitude card.

I used Crumb Cake cardstock for the cardbase and then used strips of scrap paper from the All About Autumn Designer Series Paper (all using the foil accents) and attached it to Very Vanilla cardstock and matted it with Early Espresso cardstock to create a stunning cardfront.

The stamped image is from the Cheers to the Season stamp set (I used this same stamp earlier this month and just decided to change up the colors today).  I used Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze ink and I just tapped the ink pad directly on the stamp to add different colors before stamping the image on Very Vanilla cardstock.  This piece was matted with Pretty Peacock cardstock and attached to the cardfront with dimensionals.

I added a double bow using Linen Thread to the base of the leaf as a fun accent.

30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 9

Good morning!  This weather is crazy, it should not be this warm in November but since it's supposed to drop tomorrow I'll enjoy it a little bit, haha!

Today I'm back with another fall themed gratitude card that again uses the All About Autumn Designer Series Paper (I really can't get enough of it, and this card uses three different patterns!)

The cardbase is Crumb Cake and then I added a piece of the DSP that looks like a sweater and matted it with Early Espresso cardstock.

The stamped image is from the Cheers to the Season stamp set which is a Distinkive type of stamp so you get lots of fun detail which just regular stamping.  For this I inked the image first in Crushed Curry ink and then I lightly tapped over parts of the stamp with Cajun Craze ink before stamping on Very Vanilla cardstock.  Isn't this multi-color look fun?  I matted the stamped piece with Cajun Craze cardstock before attaching it to the cardfront with dimensionals.  I did add two other pieces of the DSP to peak out as flags (both these pieces have the copper accents).  The final touch was to add a few of the Adhesive Backed Speckled Dots for texture.

I definitely did a happy dance when I finished this card, I just love the patterns and textures, they all work to make you feel the fall greetings.
