SSINKspiration Candy and Treats: Cauldron Bubble

Happy Halloween!  It's hard to think about Halloween and not think of candy (come on, let's be honest!!) and the SSINKspiration team is sharing candy and treat ideas, perfect for this holiday.  I decided to make a fun little treat box using the Clear Tiny Treat Boxes filled with yummy candy pumpkins.

To decorate the box I wrapped a piece of Toil and Trouble Designer Series Paper around the box and then tied a piece of Black 5/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon around the center.  To dress it up even more I attached a spider trinket by tying it on with some Basic Black Baker's Twine.

On the top of the box I cut a couple of circles using Black Foil Paper and Gorgeous Grape cardstock.  The greeting is from the Cauldron Bubble stamp set and was stamped in Basic Black ink.  This fun hat is actually one of the prints in the designer series paper and used the coordinating Cauldron Framelits and Big Shot to cut it out (easy, peasy no coloring required).  A dimensional was used to attach the witches at to finish off the card.

This is such a fun and easy treat, and I like that the candy can be seen as it makes it even more festive.  Are you ready to hand out lots of candy to all the little ghosts and princesses?  We can't wait!!

SSINKspiration Favorite Holiday Catalog Bundle: Cauldron Bubble

Good morning!  There are lots fa fabulous bundles in this years Holiday catalog (love them all) so today the SSINKspiration team is sharing projects made using their favorite bundle from the Holiday catalog.  I decided to change things up and make a fun treat container using the Cauldron Bubble bundle (and pretty much all of the products in the Toil and Trouble Product Suite.

This treat container starts with the Baker's Boxes (these are great and big enough to hold a lot of yummy treats, although I had been considering these for my Christmas cookie gifts and I bake too many cookies to use these, haha!)

I started by coloring the box using Granny Apple Green reinker mixed with rubbing alcohol in a Stampin' Spritzer and set it aside to dry.

I added pieces of DSP from the Toil and Trouble Designer Series Paper to the sides of the box.  The cauldron on the rosette was cut directly from the DSP using the Cauldron Framelits and the Big Shot.  I used Black Foil for the spider web in the corner and then tied a Spider Trinket to the web with some Whisper White Baker's Twine.  I added a little more bling to this box by adding some Black 5/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon.

Who wouldn't love to receive some treats in this cute little box?  I love everything about this box and can't wait to give it away and share the fun!

SSINKspiration Halloween Fun: Cauldron Bubble

Good morning!  This morning I embarking on an awesome race adventure with 11 fellow runners where we will run 200 miles over the next two days as a relay race.  It's going to be fun and exhausting and I can't wait.  Before heading out I wanted to share one more project I made using my featured Product of the Week, the Buffalo Check stamp set.  Today the SSINKspiration team is sharing Halloween projects so I thought it would be fun to use this background stamp for a Halloween card.  Now I have to worn you, I may have gone a little overboard on the bling, there are four different blingy items for lots of fun.

I started with Pumpkin Pie cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Basic Black cardstock that was spritzed with a mixture of Champagne Shimmer Paint and rubbing alcohol (I used the Stampin' Spritzer for easy application!)

Next I took a piece of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the Buffalo Check using Lemon Lime Twist ink and then used my Gorgeous Grape Stampin' Write Marker to draw lines on the print to make flannel.

For the main image I took a piece of Whisper White cardstock and stamped using the Cauldron Bubble stamp set, the greeting is in Pumpkin Pie ink and I stamped the bubbles coming up from the cauldron using Basic Black ink and then used my Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends to color the stars.

Isn't this cauldron colored perfectly?  This is actually from the Toil and Trouble Designer Series Paper and cut it out using the Cauldron Framelits and then attached it with dimensionals.  The spider web is also another piece of the framelit set and was cut out of Silver Foil Paper.  This piece was matted with Gorgeous Grape cardstock before being attached to the cardfront.

To finish off the card I added a bow tied with Basic Black  5/8" Glittered Organza Ribbon and then added a rhinestone to the center of the bow as well as on the spider web.

It's great that with the Buffalo Check stamp set just by changing up the colors you can use it for any occasion, and come on, lots of sparkle and bling make a project extra special.  Now's the time to get working on your Halloween projects so make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing for more inspiration.

Witches Hat's Galore!

Good morning! I'm finishing out this weeks focus on the Cauldron Bubble bundle and wanted to share a fun card that's quick any easy (and takes advantage of the Cauldron Framelits fitting images from the Toil and Trouble Designer Series Paper).

I started with Whisper White Thick cardstock as the base and then added a piece of Gorgeous Grape cardstock for the cardfront.  Along the right side I used the little star piece in the framelit set and  ran it through the Big Shot 4 times to get a star design along the whole side and then tucked a piece of Gold Foil Paper underneath.  The greeting is the only stamped element on this card and uses the Cauldron Bubble stamp set and was stamped in Basic Black ink.

Aren't these hat's just the bomb???  I love the designs and the way they're colored.  I cut three out and note one is peaking off the edge, this is how I used some of the parcel has on the edge of the paper so there's less waste.  The top and bottom hats are attached with dimensionals for a little added height.

 Aren't these just the cutest??  The top hat reminds me of Dopey (from the Seven Dwarfs), not that he's scary but it's all fun.  There are lots of hats on this since piece of DSP (and you get two per package) so think of all the projects you could complete without stamping or coloring a single item, makes crafting super fast and easy!
