Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge #339: Birthday Goodness

Good morning!

We're continuing with our quarantine craziness but at least the weather is supposed to be nicer this week so I'm looking forward to that.  I also needed a little break so I hopped into the studio for a little color therapy to play along with this weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge (look at these fabulous, springy colors!)

I used Smoky Slate cardstock for the cardbase and then added Basic Black as the mat for the cardfront that's Seaside Spray Designer Series Paper from the 2019-2021 In Colors DSP stack.

For the main stamped image I used the Birthday Goodness stamp set and stamped in Momento Black ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut it out with the Stitched Rectangles Dies before coloring it in with the Stampin' Blends.

I tucked another pattern of DSP, in Rococo Rose behind the stamped image for a pop of color.  To finish off the card I added some rhinestones, as well as a bow tied with Mint Macaron 1/4" Textile Ribbon and the greeting which was stamped on Rococo Rose cardstock and attached with mini dimensionals.

I have to admit, this stamp set is one of my favorites, who doesn't love yummy treats, and I'm sad that it's retiring at the end of the month (I'll be holding on to my stamp set for sure!) so I can continue sending sweet, carb-free, birthday greetings.  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing as inspiration and we would love for you to play along with us and share what you create.

Fab Friday Color Challenge #FabFri180: Heartfelt

Good morning!

I'm having so much fun playing along with items in the From the Heart Suite (they are so much fun!) so I decided to continue to the love of this suite with this weeks Fab Friday color challenge to give a little different feel.

I started with Highland Heather cardstock for the cardbase and then added Basic Black behind the Whisper White cardfront.  On this layer I stamped the row of hearts along the left side using the Forever Lovely stamp set and Highland Heather and Poppy Parade ink.

Next I used the Stitched Shapes dies to cut a circle out of Rococo Rose cardstock from the 2019-2021 In Color Designer Series Paper and layered it under hearts that were stamped using the Heartfelt stamp set and punched out and attached with dimensionals.  As you know I always like a little bling so for this card I added some of the From the Heart Faceted Gems as well as some Basic Black 5/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon.

You need Valentine's cards for friends as well as family and this one is perfect and I already know who will be receiving this card!

30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 10

Good evening!

What a wonderful day, I got to relax and spend lots of time in the studio crafting with friends which was wonderful.  I'm so grateful to times like this so I thought for today's gratitude card I would share one of the cards we made.

I started with Pear Pizzazz cardstock for the cardbase and then matted the Cajun Craze cardfront (which was embossed with the Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder, I flipped it over for the reverse image) and matted it with Merry Merlot cardstock.

Next I cut a circle out of the Come to Gather Designer Series Paper using the Stitched Shapes Dies.  I cut a couple of leaves using Early Espresso and Pretty Peacock cardstock and the Gathered Leaves dies and then added a piece of Pretty Peacock 1/2" Scalloped Linen Ribbon to dress the card up.  The final touch was to add the greeting which is from the Free as a Bird stamp set which was stamped in Merry Merlot ink on Pear Pizzazz cardstock before cutting it out with the Stitched Shapes Dies and attaching it with dimensionals.  I added a Gold Metallic Pearl to the greeting oval for a little touch of bling.

I really love this color combo and this plaid print is so fun, perfect for any occasion!

30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 3

Good morning!

Wasn't that extra hour of sleep heavenly?  We have day 2 of Aidan's swim meet to day so the extra time is definitely appreciated.  For today's gratitude card I'm back with another all occasion card that shows of one of the new 2019-2021 In Colors, Rococo Rose as well as the Label Me Pretty stamp set.

I started with Whisper White Thick cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock for the cardfront.  On this piece I stamped the word text repeatedly in Crumb Cake ink to create a fun background.

Next I took a strip of the Rococo Rose DSP from the 2019-2021 In Colors Designer Series Paper stack and matted it with Soft Suede cardstock as a flag down the center of the card.  The greeting pieces are all in the same stamp set and I used the Pretty Label Punch and 1" Circle Punch to punch the individual pieces out and attached them with dimensionals.  The final touch, a single enamel dot from the 2019-2021 In Color Faceted Dots.

This new color works great with the neutral Crumb Cake and is soft and pretty.
