Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge: More Than Chocolate

Good morning!  With a week before Valentine's Day I've been working to get all my cards and projects completed and ready to go so it was perfect that this weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge were colors that worked for this season of love.  When the Annual Catalog was released as soon as I saw the More Than Chocolate stamp set given my love of the sweet confection I knew I had to have it but it wasn't one of my early order items so I'm just now getting around to playing with it and decided to make this calorie free card for my sweetie!

I started with Real Red cardstock for the cardbase and then used Basic Black as the mat for the Whisper White cardfront.  To that I stamped the heart outline in Basic Black ink and then started stamping all my confections using Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, and Perfect Plum inks (this card while it looks simple is a labor love to figure out where you want to place all the tiny little stamps to fit into the heart chocolate box)!

When I was finished with the main image I stamped the greeting in Cherry Cobbler ink and then wrapped a piece of the Gold Tinsel Trim, from the Love Mini Tinsel Trim Combo Pack around the card and tied a bow.  for a little extra sparkle I added a few of the sequins from the Metallics Sequin Assortment package randomly on the card.

This is such a fun card and I know my hubby will appreciate no calories being added to his waistline with this one, haha! (doesn't mean his whole day will be sugar free but it's a start).

Enjoy!

  3. These little candies look fabulous in these colors! Sometimes it's hard for me to see a stamp used beyond what it was intended for (like chocolate) so I enjoy when people step outside the box! It inspires me! Thanks for sharing your creation with us at Hand Stamped Sentiments!
