SSINKspiration CASE the Designer: Tobe Buffenbarger

Good morning!  I made it down to Disney and even some unusually cold weather isn't going to dampen my spirits.  This morning it's the 10k so a fun run through and around Epcot to start the day.  Meanwhile over on the SSINKspiration blog the designers are playing CASE the Designer and this month we're focusing on Tobe Buffenbarger.  I had fun checking out all the great projects on Tobe's blog and in the end picked a fun Christmas card and used the layout as inspiration for this fun birthday card using lots of product from the Occasions catalog.  You can see Tobe's creation HERE.

I started with Berry Burst cardstock for the cardbase and then added a strip of the Picture Perfect Designer Series Paper along the left side, Silver Foil Paper in the center, and Pool Party cardstock that was embossed with the Big Shot and Scattered Sequins Dynamic Embossing Folder (love this folder!!)

Next I used the Big Shot to cut a scalloped circle using the Layering Circles Framelits and Silver Foil Paper and then a Whisper White circle center that I stamped the greeting using Bermuda Bay ink and the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set.  I used the two piece stamp to make the cute bow accent using Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist and cut it out with Paper Snips before attaching with dimensionals.

As a final touch I added a couple strips of paper at the bottom, Bermuda Bay that was embossed with the Sweetheart Embossing folder and Peachaboo Peach that had a strip of stars stamped in Basic Black ink.

I had a lot of fun with this layout (thanks Tobe!) and really love the bright, cheery colors in this card!!
