SSINK Father's Day Meets Fab Friday Sketch Challenge: Bubble Over

Good morning!  Today the SSINKspiration team is honoring all the men in our lives ahead of Father's Day this weekend.  I decided to combine this with the Fab Friday sketch challenge for this fun masculine card which is perfect for my hubby (and I'm safe sharing this since he's not on Facebook, haha).

I started with Gray Granite cardstock for the card base and then added a piece of Mango Melody as a mat for the Blueberry Bushel DSP from the Best Route Designer Series Paper Package (this is going to be a popular one for me this year for sure!).

Next I used the Big Shot and Stitched Shapes Framelits to cut the circle outline out of Mango Melody cardstock to anchor my bottle of brew.  To bling it up I added  a piece of 1/4" Copper Trim (I fanned it out a little so it was a little wider).

For the main image I used the Big Shot and Bottles and Bubbles Framelits to cut the bottle out of Early Espresso cardstock as well as the bottle cap and circle accent using Copper Foil Paper.  I used the Bubble Over stamp set to stamp the label on Whisper White cardstock with Mango Melody ink and then cut it out with the same framelits.

The greeting is from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set and was stamped in Blueberry Bushel ink on Gray Granite cardstock and then punched out with the Classic Label punch before attaching it with Mini Dimensionals.

Fab Friday Sketch Challenge: Bubble Over

Good morning!  This week is flying by but  that's good since we're now in March we can officially begin celebrating my birthday month, whoo hoo!  Even though my actual birthday isn't until the end of the month I believe is starting the festivities for the full month and really enjoying every minute of it.  Despite all this weeks craziness I was able to get a little time in the studio and decided to play along with Fab Friday sketch challenge this week.  This a classic layout and when I was looking at immediately the soda pop from the Bubble Over stamp set came to mind.

I started with Basic Gray cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Calypso Coral cardstock for the cardfront and stamped the bubbles using Whisper White Craft Ink in the top left corner so it would look like fizzies coming out of the bottle.  Next I added a strip of DSP from the coordinating Bubbles and Fizz Designer Series Paper (a Sale-a-bration freebie!!)




For the main image I stamped the smaller bottle image on Whisper White cardstock using Lemon Lime Twist and Bermuda Bay ink.  The greeting was stamped directly on the bottle label using Basic Gray ink and then cut it out using the coordinating Bottles and Bubbles Framelits to cut out the bottle as well as the bottle caps using Silver Foil Paper.  I used a 1/2" Circle Punch to punch out one of the bottle top images from another sheet of the DSP so the top coordinated.  The final touch was the bow and I used a couple pieces of Whisper White 1/8" Sheer Ribbon and colored them using the Bermuda Bay Light Stampin' Blends marker (give the ribbon just a couple of minutes to dry before tying the ribbon).

I love the fun colors and patterns on this card, it makes me think of summer fun, which will be here before we know it.

SSINKspiration $50 Occasion Catalog Bundle = One Free SAB Item

Good morning!  What a crazy few days, I'll admit I'm happy all the races are over and I can rest for a few days but what an amazing experience!  It's time to head home and I can't wait to see my guys, I missed not having them in our favorite place!  Today the SSINKspiration designers are sharing bundles of product from the Occasions catalog that are valued at $50 to earn you a FREE Sale-a-bration item.  In this case I decided to use the Bubble Over bundle and some accents (silver foil paper, dimensionals) and you earn the coordinating Bubbles and Fizz Designer Series Paper for FREE.

I used Calypso Coral cardstock for the cardbase and then added Basic Black cardstock as the mat for the Bubbles and Fizz DSP.  Then I used the Bubble Over stamp set to stamp the soda bottle in Bermuda Bay and the little thumbs up label on Pool Party cardstock using Basic Black ink.  I used the Big Shot and coordinating Bottles and Bubbles Framelits to cut out the bottle and label, as well as the straw (Lemon Lime Twist) and the Silver Foil Bottle Cap.  The design of the bottle cap is from the DSP and was punched out with the 1/2" Circle Punch and I used dimensionals on both layers of the bottle cap.

The final touch is the greeting, which is on Daffodil Delight cardstock using Basic Black ink.

You know me, I love the bright colors so there are lots of products in the Occasions catalog that make me super happy and I know you'll love them as well, and while I don't drink soda very often this bundle is perfect and I see some adult beverage projects coming up soon as well!
