Good evening! As you know October is Breast Cancer Awareness month so today demonstrators all across the world are banding together for a blog hop to unite with our creativity to provide support and awareness for this terrible illness. The Ribbon of Courage stamp set was designed by Patty Bennett, one of our Million Dollar demonstrators and when I found out about this blog hop I knew it would be the perfect foundation.
I started with Powder Pink cardstock for the cardbase and then added a layer of Fresh Fig as a mat for the cardfront which is Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper (I used the Powder Pink design and then took the "courage" stamp and stamped randomly on the DSP for a very light addition to the flowers.
Next I stamped the designed ribbon image using Basic Black ink on Whisper White cardstock and then colored the designs in. I don't have the coordinating framelits for this stamp set so I cut it out with Paper Snips but there is a coordinating framelit to cut the large ribbon out.
For the greeting I cut a circle out of Whisper White cardstock using the Big Shot and Stitched Shapes framelits and stamped the greeting in Fresh Fig ink. after attaching the greeting to the cardfront and adding the ribbon with dimensionals I added three small gold hearts that were cut out of Gold Foil Paper using a die from the Mini Treatbags Thinlits (I actually used the strip on a card I'm sharing later so these little hearts were just sitting on my desk waiting to be used.
The final touch was to add some ribbon so I added a piece of Fresh Fig 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon overlapped with Gold 1/8" Ribbon.
I really love how this card turned out and know that it will really lift a friends spirits during a trying time. To all my friends, family, and loved one's who are currently fighting this battle we support you and love you, kick some butt!!
