The
rest of the card came together very quickly, I used Tangerine Tango for the
cardbase and layered a piece of Basic Black that I embossed with the Big Shot and the Hexagon Embossing Folder. A
piece of Rich Razzleberry ¼” Stitched
Grosgrain Ribbon makes the perfect bow.
The final accent was the little bird that’s from the same stamp set and
he was stamped with Basic Gray ink on Old Olive cardstock and cut out with Paper Snips. Once again I used dimensionals to attach the bird and the large image.
I
have to admit, I spent a lot of time debating adding a greeting and I actually
made several of them, but in the end I felt like they were a distraction on the
card and it’s pretty clear what occasion this card is for anyways, so I left it
nice and simple. I love how this set
makes such beautiful, elegant, and slightly spooky cards, without being
grotesque (that’s not my style) and as so many fun elements that work so well
together, it makes crafting so fun and easy. I hope you enjoyed today's card and you still
have time to play along with this challenge, I would love to see what you come
up with, so take a little time to get crafty this weekend, you’ll love it!

ReplyDeleteThanks Amanda!
DeleteVery fun! I love how you've highlighted some of the words on the stamp, and the honeycomb embossing folder looks great with the Halloween theme. Thanks for playing along with us at Fab Friday!
ReplyDeleteI love how you stamped some of the words on different colored cardstock! It really makes them pop and become the focus of the card. The embossed background works really well too. Thanks for joining us at Fab Friday!
