Dear Santa Christmas Greetings

Good morning!

It's Christmas Eve and we're enjoying some relaxing, family time which is perfect.  I didn't want to let the holiday pass without sharing this cute card using the Dear Santa stamp set.  A friend has this set and I borrowed it and stamped this image back in September intending on making a card with it and then it sat on my desk neglected.  I was finally able to pull out my Stampin' Blends and make this into something.

The cardbase is Granny Apple Green and then I used Real Red cardstock to mat the DSP from the Take a Bow Designer Series Paper pack.  I used another pattern piece from the pack to add a strip down the side.

After coloring in the image, I matted it with Basic Black cardstock and attached it to the cardfront with dimensionals.  The greeting is from the Christmas Labels set and was stamped with Garden Green ink on Granny Apple Green cardstock before being fussy cut out and attached with dimensionals.

Of course I need to add some embellishments, so I tied a double bow using the Real Red & White Baker's Twine and finished with a few of the Real Red & White Adhesive Backed Peppermints (these are by far my favorite embellishment from this years holiday catalog!)

I love how this card turned out and it definitely makes me feel happy and merry.  Most of the items I used on this card are on the Last Chance list so if they are something you want make sure to order soon before they retire at the beginning of January.

Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge #453: Reindeer Fun

Good morning,

We've arrived safely in Hilton Head and looking forward to enjoying the island and some Christmas fun.  Thought I would share a great card I made using the Reindeer Fun bundle for the Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge.

This card started with a cardbase of Cherry Cobbler cardstock and then I used the Reindeer Fun dies to cut out the circle opening in Basic White cardstock.  Behind the circle I added a piece of Iconic Celebrations Designer Series Paper and popped the top piece up with dimensionals.  I also used the dies to cut out the string of lights with Gold Foil Sheets for a little extra bling.

The reindeer is from the stamp set and after using my Stampin' Blends I cut him out with the coordinating dies and used dimensionals to attach him as well.

The ribbon is Cherry Cobbler & Gold 1/4" Satin Ribbon and was perfect for wrapping around the cardfront and tying a knot.  To finish off the card I stamped the greeting in Garden Green ink on Basic White and attached it with, you guessed it more dimensionals.

I was so happy with how this card turned out, it screams perfect holiday fun and I can't wait to send it to someone special!

30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 28

Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving!

Love this time of year and our tradition of spending time with friends from college who have become family, it's such a great time that always makes us happy and rejuvenated after our festivities.  I did want to take time today to share my gratitude card and it's my last fall themed card for the year.  This card uses the Autumn Expressions stamp set and coordinating dies, which are fabulous!

For this card the cardbase is Mossy Meadow cardstock and then I took a piece of Splendid Autumn Designer Series Paper as the cardfront and it's matted with Cajun Craze cardstock.

For the stamped image I stamped the greeting on Very Vanilla cardstock with Cajun Craze ink and then cut it out with the dies.  I used the same dies to cut the gold pieces to make the frame and faux chain using Gold Foil sheets.  Once attaching to the cardfront with dimensionals I added a few of the Faux Glass Dots as an accent.

This card, it's perfect for fall and all the grateful feelings I have this time of year.  I hope you and your family are able to have an enjoyable day however you choose to celebrate!

30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 27

Good morning,

So like everyone else we are on full on Thanksgiving prep, which I love, so I thought it would be perfect to get one last ode to pumpkin spice in before the season on peppermint takes over, lol!

This card uses Cajun Craze for the cardbase and then I used Crumb Cake cardstock for the cardfront and embossed it with the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder and sponged over it with Crumb Cake ink to help bring out all the fun leaf texture.

Next I used the More than Autumn stamp set and stamped the coffee cup, donut, and pie pieces before coloring them with my Stampin' Blends and cutting them out with the coordinating dies.

I wrapped some Linen Thread around the cardfront before attaching all the pieces.  And added a few Faux Glass Dots.

For the greeting I pieced it together using words from 4 different individual stamps.

I know this is kind of a cheeky card for gratitude but it's fun so I went with it!

Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge #598: Christmas Friends

Good morning,

Today I'm sharing 2 cards since I miscalculated the date for this weeks Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge and thought it fell on next week, oops!  So today's card has this cute moose from the Christmas Friends stamp set and some fun embellishments from the 2024 Holiday catalog that have sold out a few times already.

For this card the cardbase is Lemon Lime Twist and then I added Basic White cardstock as the cardfront.

To this I cut lots of strips from the Take a Bow Designer Series Paper and cut them into banners before attaching them to the cardfront to make this banner effect.  Once that was complete I added a piece of Real Red cardstock along the top (helped hide all the tops of the banners) and was a perfect place for the greeting.

I stamped the moose in Momento Black ink on Basic White, colored him in with Stampin' Blends and then cut him out with the coordinating dies.  He's matted on a circle cut out of Garden Green cardstock.  The perfect finishing touch was a few Real Red & White Adhesive Backed Peppermints (maybe my favorite embellishment from the Holiday catalog!)

The colors, patterns, and moose are so fun and playful I can't wait to send him to a special friend for the holidays.

Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing for inspiration.  We would love for you to play along and share what you create using this sketch.
