Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge #PCC325: Hey Love

Good morning!

Valentine's Day is right around the corner (are you ready?)  I've been having so much fun with the Hey Love stamp set I decided to use it again for this weeks Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge to give this little critter a little love.

I started with Smoky Slate cardstock for the cardbase and then used Basic Back for the cardfront which was embossed with the Sparkle Embossing Folder.  Next I added a strip of All my Love Designer Series Paper (this pattern is good because it's not as feminine as others in the pack so I can use it for dudes as well, we just won't tell them the color is Lovely Lipstick, haha!)

For the main image I stamped the little skunk from the Hey Love stamp set in Momento Black ink on Whisper White cardstock and then colored him in with Stampin' Blends and Stampin' Write Markers before cutting him out with the Big Shot and Stitched Shapes Framelits.  The greeting was stamped in Lovely Lipstick ink on Whisper White and cut out with the Layering Circles Framelits and matted with a Smoky Slate circle cut out with the same stitched framelits.

Before attaching the circles I added a piece of Black 5/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon (love that this ribbon carried over from the Holiday catalog) and then used dimensionals to attach both circles.  The final touch were a few scattered rhinestones to coordinate with the glittered ribbon.

This little guy is certain to bring a smile to your face and let you know that someone thinks your special, which what Valentine's is about.  Make sure to check out the other cards the design team is sharing and we would love for you to play along with us and share what you create using this sketch as inspiration.
