Good morning! The BBQ was a huge hit this year and it was so great to see so many friends and neighbors just relaxing and enjoying the start of summer (oh and the kids loved the water gun flights!) It was very hot which may have led to some of the inspiration for today's card using this months SSINKspiration card sketch. This sketch had lots of elements that build to create the main design so I thought what better thing to build than an ice cream sunday?
I started with Crumb Cake cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Pool Party cardstock that was embossed with the Big Shot and the Oh My Stars Embossing Folder (I flipped the paper over and used the debossed side for this card).
For the main image I used the Frozen Treats Framelits to cut out the bowl, ice cream and even the silver foil spoon (no stamping required but their is a coordinating stamp set if you wanted to stamp). I attached all the pieces and made sure the top scoop was attached with a dimensional so it pops up off the cardfront.
The greeting (and the only thing stamped on today's card) is from the Sweet Cupcake stamp set (when looking for greetings make sure to look in other sets that may not be designed with a bundle but have universal sayings). After stamping in Chocolate Chip Ink on Crumb Cake cardstock I punched it out using the Classic Label Punch and then attached it to the cardfront with dimensionals.
The final touch was to add some embellishments, under the greeting is a double bow tied with Whisper White Baker's Twine and then I added some enamel dots to kind of serve as sprinkles being added to the sunday, a perfect finish ready to eat!
This card is super yummy, but without all the calories! Make sure to check out the other cards the design team made using this sketch for inspiration and then play along with us and share what you create.
