Fab Friday Sketch Challenge: Cool Treats

Happy Friday!  It's been a crazy busy week both at work and home so I'm really hoping for a little fun and downtime this weekend (haha the later may not happen but we can hope).  Today I decided to play along with the Fab Friday Sketch challenge and since I was having a particular ice cream craving I decided to break out the Cool Treats stamp set and coordinating framelits to make this fun card that high on fun but not on calories!

I started with Crumb Cake cardstock for the cardbase and then added a piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock that was embossed with the Big Shot and Polka Dot Embossing Folder.  Next I used the Layering Circles Framelits and Peekaboo Peach cardstock to mat a mat for my Whisper White circle that was cut out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits.

To make the ice cream I just used the Frozen Treats Framelits to cut out all the scoops of ice cream (I used Pear Pizzaz, Pool Party, Peekaboo Peach, and Watermelon Wonder for the ice cream flavors) and Crumb Cake cardstock was used for the cone (the framelit piece both embossed and cut out the cone so I just lightly rubbed Crumb Cake ink on the cutout with a sponge to help highlight the design on the cone base.

The greeting was from the same stamp set and after stamping it I cut it out with the same Stitched Shapes Framelits (I cut it twice to get the rectangle shape that just fits the greeting and then attached the greeting with a dimensional.  Now to just add a couple of fun embellishments, I added a loop of Watermelon Wonder 5/8" Mini Striped Ribbon and then a bow tied with some Silver Metallic Ribbon from the Metallic Ribbon Pack (a Sale-a-bration freebie!!)

This card is so yummy I just want to eat it up (with no guilt).  The colors are bright and cheery which is a great way to brighten your day.  Given that ice cream is one of my favorite tasty treats I already know I'm going to have a lot of fun with this bundle!

Have a great weekend!
